I'd say, let's trade Taylor to about 10 teams around the league for a first round pick, and have him never show up, and we still keep him, and

I now play semi-pro for the 15th ranked team in our 100+ team league that covers the entire eastern US, and next year will most likely be in the Arena league, barring my upcoming knee surgery. I say that not to sound like an internet hardass, like some people who shall remain nameless. I say this only because I'd like to break the misconception that only 5'nothing computer nerds and old guys reliving the days of high school football post on internet forums about the NFL.

some people are little nerds and some are old, doesn't mean their opinions don't count. don't take this in a bad way but most people that had your size in school were either bullies that turned out to be jock bullies or turned out to be corrections officers or cops. never understood what it was like to be the one people laughed at or the butt of the joke when they got the put down in front of their high-school sweetheart. by no means am i anyone of those on either side, i just say let people have their opinions. what's it to you? if it gets personal that's one thing, but just because you are used to getting things your own way cuz you're big doesn't mean you're right.
i'm 6'2" and 220 not big compared to you but served 6 years in a league you wouldn't even think to play in...the US Army. i've seen bigger guys than you go down in two moves or less and i cringed when the little guy went for his throat. nothing is ever set in stone.
that being said i wish no ill-will or harm to anyone. when someone is done they're done. i've chewed stones in many a parking lot from KY to GER but always got up and congratulated the better man, shook hands and had a beer. remember there's always someone bigger than you and nowadays it's not how big or what you know it's more like.....what's he got in his pocket?

Yeah, left tackle. Thank you very much. It's a minor meniscus tear, happened on Saturday. It shouldn't be too long of recovery time.
I've always been considered a gentle giant. That's been my biggest knock coming up through high school and even through college. I am by no means a bully, and more often than not I've been considered a big brother to kids who were the butt of bullying. If I came across as a bully throughout any of my posts, I'm sorry for that. My posts weren't directed at you, they've been directed more at Represent and WRREBEL. I have no problem with other peoples opinions, when they don't try to shove them down others throats. I enjoy healthy debates and conversations, I strive for them. But when someone is being a douchey asshole, I'm also not afraid to speak my mind, in person or in a Internet forum.
As for your service for our country, there's not enough that can be said. Words cannot properly enumerate my feelings toward those who serve. I've always wanted to join the Army, but I simply cannot follow strict orders well enough.
And you're spot on with your philosophy about people nowadays. My father was a bodybuilder who spent his nights bouncing at bars in Youngstown. To this day he still regales me with stories of pure Roadhouse-style badassness. But when the opportunities presented themselves for me bouncing, he flat out wouldn't let me, for the reason you pointed out before. It's no longer how big you are, it's about who's carrying.
