    Seeing as though we need help at linebacker maybe we take a flyer on Maybin. He was good in college and he is still very young. Maybe once out of Buffalo he could develop with the right guidance. We really have a bunch of undrafted guys fighting for backup spots right now anyway so why not?

  • Wasnt he a DE at Penn State? If so, he has zero experience playing LB in a 4-3 and is very undersized for our DE, even though Heckert likes undersized DEs, 228 lbs is way too light to play the position.

    So he would have to learn an entirely new position in our system... meh..

  • I read he has 0 scaks in 27 career games. and only 24 career tackles in said 27 games. For the 11th overall pick of 2009 that's a SERIOUS bust

  • It is a serious bust. I think if they bring him in the for the rest of the preseason they could see what he can do as a pass rushing DE, of course having him put on 20 odd pounds though. I heard he lost the weight over the off season because he was really sick, normally playing weight is closer to 250.

  • No. Maybin is a joke. He hasn't put on weight in Buffalo, what would make him change here? He's undersized and doesn't have a natural position in the NFL. He also has been trying to launch his rap career, probably preparing himself for his inevitable cut from the Bills.

  • Seriously... why would we want this guy?? Besides for the fact he was drafted high, he has no value in the nfl. He couldn't break into the bills lineup.

    I heard that 6 tackle stat. LOL Couldn't you get 6 tackles in a year just by a ball carrier running into on accident.

  • i think he's worth a flyer after he clears waivers. Sometimes players just need a fresh start. Granted he's still new to be needing a fresh start think he could be worth checking out though. worst case scenario.....we cut him too. nothing ventured nothing gained.
