Nfl Supplemental Draft Thread
-
The supplemental draft is tomorrow at 1:00 PM. Seemingly, the only two players worth taking a flier on are Pryor and McAdoo.
I don't know anything about McAdoo other than the fact that he's a physical beast. Outside of that, I couldn't tell you anything. We have a DE spot to fill, what do you think the odds are of us making a play for McAdoo?
Also, Mike Florio just hinted to the Browns possibly taking a shot at Pryor during halftime on SNF. Apparently Gruden is very, very high on Pryor and as we all know there is a relationship between Gruden and Holmgren. How close that relationship truly is, though, is anybody's guess.
Personally, I believe we'll stay just as quiet as we have all season long.

Well, the interesting thing I just found out about the supplemental draft is it's not like the regular draft, where say all 32 teams pass on a player in the first round, and then you're in the second round.
It's a silent, sealed bid auction. You send the NFL office a bid with the round you want to take the player- and based on the 2011 draft order, highest bid takes the player.
I could see us putting in a fourth round bid on McAdoo, but I wouldn't see us offing much more that a sixth for Pryor, because with the 5 game suspension he's totally worthless to the Browns this year. And why would the Browns want to bring in Pryor as a qb prospect, when McCoy has played so well in the preseason? For certain some team is going to take a shot on him as a WR, now that he's mentioned he's willing to switch positions to play in the NFL.

I have said it here several times. The Browns don't need Pryor. They have their young QB in place with Colt. They need another veteran 3rd string backup. Brown and/or Weatherhead should be headed for the taxi squad.

Raiders just took Pryor in the third round per adam schefter. Thank God that conversation is finally over.

No one else was selected, meaning any team can now sign those players, I hope we go after McAdoo...

Only one guy was drafted, Pryor in the 3rd roud by Raiders.

Has anyone heard where the other guys in the draft signed, if anywhere?
