He'll coach again. I wasn't sure if he would want to after the scandal, but after taking this job it shows he still want's to be apart of football. I just can't get over why he would take this position, he had to of just made his mind up to get back involved recently or you would think there would've been atleast an offensive assistant position out there for him.

Wow, some folks get it about Tressel, and understand he was thrown under the bus, and is an ultimate winner............................maybe someday Ohio will get it too

Hey I love Tressel, you don't need to preach to me....I would've figured you weren't his biggest fan though. He's ultimate conservative, believes Defense and Special teams wins and once said that the Punt is the most important play in football. That go's against every moral fiber in your body, so why the man love?

hahaha you hit the nail on the head here!

  • Hahahahaha urban meyer is a douche and a quitter... he is a very good college coach but that's it. Tressel is the same thing.

Shurmur will be given at least 3 years cause he was hand picked by holmgren.

Tressel Conservative? Absolutely not. THe U of Miami didn't find him too COnservative, did they? At YSU he opened it up on McNair and fired up big points.

Tressel is great at adapting to his competition AND building a game plan around his talent.

WHile I will agree that he does know how to slow a game down and minimize risk, he is also capable of lighting it up.

Shurmur will be gone, hopefully after this year. I would love to see Tressel or Urban Meyer at the helm.

I think Worlford Brimely also needs to be fired.

Tressell will coach again- at the Pro level somewhere. Shurmur? Throwing him under the bus when the Browns haven't even played a regular season game with him as the coach? That has to be a freaking record.

Tresell was a great college coach, the list of those who have translated that to great PRO coaches is mighty short.

Sorry to tell you the Walrus will be running the show as long as he feels like running it.

  • lol@ Meyer or Tressel coaching the Browns. Ridiculous.

  • Let's see. He lives in suburban Columbus. It's a 3 hour drive to Indy. He gets to watch the entire game on 4-10 HD monitors with DVR. And then he gets to say if a replay is necessary?

Which one of us peons wouldn't want that gig @ 100k a year? However, Jim doesn't need the money, considering Ohio State was paying him $3.5 million a year + assorted perks- that's one serious pay cut.

It's called getting your foot in the door on the Pro level. JT has his sights set a tad higher than that.

So if the Colts suck this year, will Jim be in line for the head coaching job????

I hope so. He is just what the Colts like.
