No excuses. The Browns simply played poorly. On to next week.

The single player that is driving me nuts is Sheldon Brown. He is a 32 yr old vet & got burned for a short TD (AND interfered) without EVER looking back for the ball? Try him at safety or stick a fork in him....he's done.

As far as Hardesty, maybe he should have been pulled due to his drops, but Hillis may still be a little run down.

I'm still a Brown's Fan but I'm also realistic. They are heading in the right direction, but they also have a ways to go.

      Mike

And we weren't tied for first....we are 0-1 in the division....which tied us with Pitt for second. Now since Cincinnati won, we're tied for last

Why: see the pick returned for a TD

Lots of blame to go around in this one from the playcalling right down to personnel choices and execution..

I am downgrading from an 8-8 season to a 7-9...

This team still has a long way to go and the titans did a good job of painfully revealing most of what needs work to the naked eye..

We have been rebuilding since 1964, Why stop now? GO BROWNS!

Nobody mentioned the shitty tackling- unacceptable.

I was worried about the defense, and today, it all came to be. We have no speed at LB at all. The opposing TEs are going to kill us the rest of the season, we can't cover the TE.

Despite obvious lack of talent/playmakers the browns looked like they were just going through the motions today. It's pretty early in the season to put out such a lackadasical

effort. Shumur has to shoulder the blame for the embarassing performance at home. The 97 yd pick six was disgraceful. Factor in having to endure the network

commentator pointing out just how lousy the Browns' are every five minutes and you end up with a waste of a Sundy afternoon. f gannon

Tennesee is a good team. Browns played bad today for sure but 2-2 at the quarter is better than 1-3 last year.

Good call Bob.. we also have no speed at RB... no speed at receiver... and with the exception of Haden, no speed in the defensive backfield... Usama Young on the 80 yd TD... WTF?????

Fujiita and Gocong run like they're stuck in the mud...

We are so slow it is almost painful to watch...

This coaching staff refuses to make changes during half time to adjust the game.

They decide we are going to throw the ball and even if it doesn't work... they stick with it.

I still see positives and think this WILL be a good team..... soon!

To add one more thing..........YAC. The Browns basically catch a 4 yard pass and get tackled. Nothing happens after the catch.

Free agency wins championships. Just ask the 1-3 "Dream Team" Eagles.

Let's not panic yet, as I think we all know we don't have the horses yet to compete for the playoffs.

This was their worst effort, but they have a Bye week and hopefully, will tweak their schemes on both sides of the ball.

I think our top priority in the draft should be a speedy OLB that knocks opponents on their ass. Problem is, I've been saying that for 10 years.

McCoy completed 40 passes to 11 different receivers today; don't say he can't get them the ball. He damn sure got EVERYONE the ball today, they just didn't do anything with it. Meanwhile, that bald homo Hasslebeck goes 10 for 20 and 3 TOUCHDOWNS! What more can McCoy do?

Why isn't Holmgren coaching this team ? We have a hall of fame coach employed by the Browns watching from a luxury suite. If anyone can make the WCO work in Cleveland it would be him. Shurmur should be the OC, not HC. I'm still not happy we ran Mangini out of town. If Holmgren didn't want to coach why not install a new OC and work with Mangini to make him a better coach? At least EM teams were disciplined and didn't make so many mental errors. We just aren't getting anything from having Holmgren here IMO.

I'd like to see us make some changes after the bye week. Start Little and Skrine. Bench Nocatchski, and Sheldon Brown goes to nickel back. Put Mitchell in there and try to stretch the defense with his speed a few plays a game.

McCoy has the happy feet, probably because our line isn't giving him much time to to throw. He doesn't watch the recievers long enough for them to get open, he looks forthe checkdowns immediately He looked better last year, but i'm nowhere near ready to give up on the kid.

perhaps a pass more than 3 yards beyond the LOS that doesn't quack?

It's not the WR's.. Colt's gun shy and can't get the ball there.... I agree, I think his arm is weak. That interception he threw trying to hit Hillis in the endzone ended what, 10 yards short, at least. I want him to do well, likeable guy, but I honestly think that he doesn't have the arm or the heigth to be a NFL QB. Were not stretching the field. If Defenses know we won't go deep, our WR's won't get open. I have seen some QB in this leage thread needles and make some pretty crazy throws thinking that I can't believe he made that throw, the WR wasn't open at all.. But it was thrown where only the WR could catch it or the WR had to make a play on it. We have only seen that a couple of times that I can think of this year with the TD throw to Cribbs and MoMass.. For the most part, I think Colt is small, and has a small arm and doesn't have confidence in himself.

You guys are amazing. No matter how much truth you are slapped in the face with, you choose to live in a pretend world, and THEN are all surprised when the inevitable happens.

Let me explain it to you one more time::::::

WHen a team wastes money and high draft picks on linemen, it allows other teams to draft and sign PLAY-MAKERS............

GUYS WHO TOUCH THE BALL WIN FOOTBALL GAMES. Guys like leaky Joe THomas get to WATCH the PLAYMAKERS WIN GAMES.

We don't have a QB, we don't have strong RBs, our WRs are a joke and our DBs are polesmoking sissy boys.

Had Miami and the Colts had even a mediocre QB, the Browns would be, and should be 0 - 4.

You guys got what you wanted. You got 10 years of drafting linemen as a high priority and you got an owner who stays out of team management.

Why complain about losing/ Aren't you enjoying the linear improvement?

Playmakers? Sure need them. But the Browns really lost that game because the LBs can get outpaced by a guy in a wheelchair. I'll take some kick ass Linebackers the order of Clay Matthews or Chip Banks that can actually cover a TE. In case you didn't notice, the Browns lost that game with three big plays If, if, if.... Well Miami and Indy didn't have great QBs, so tough.

Hardesty is going to get jugs machine work all during the bye until hands hands bleed, or he learns how to catch a pass that hits him in the hands.

And you can't replace an entire team in one year. Like I said the Browns have 9 new starters. Expect maybe 5-7 more next year.

I saw linear regression today. Happy now?

At the very least we are 2-2 which is better than 1-3 and loads better than 0-4.

Fellas, I keep saying it over and over again....this is a young team for the most part. They're going to have good games...they'll have bad games. Yesterday was that latter. Throwing the ball 61 times will not win you very many games unless you're Manning, Brees, or Brady. Why Shurmur abandoned the run again is beyond me. I know I know they were up 21 to 6 by the half. That still was plenty of time to run the ball control the clock and get those 15 points back. The giving up in the 2nd quarter...that's the youth talking (players and coaches alike). Until we learn to win with what we have no big name free agent is going to touch our field with someone else's cleats. It's not going to happen...I'm sure attempts have been made and no "superstar" free agent I know is banging down the door to play for us. Now if this team finishes 8-8 or better then maybe a free agent or two will hop on board. Free Agents watch all these games and make decisions based on what they see on the field. Most superstars want to win right away, they want top dollar, and they a big media market. Free Agents that come along and make an impact are the ones that hop on up and coming teams and most often finish their career with those teams. The big thing is winning with what you have and then trying to get the a free agent to come bust this thing wide open.
