You can't compare andrew luck with any of those jokers.

I can tell u andrew luck has a much better chance of being a franchise qb, than charlie frye, spurgynn wynn, brady quinn or colt mccoy..

man drafting any player is such a crap shoot. a lot of these guys were sure things: joey harrington, heath shuler, todd marinovich, kijhana carter, blair thomas.....on and on. then you get the guys who are 6th rounders and turn out to be hall of fame. isn't there an adam curry thread goin on right now?

it's just too bad the browns have made more than their fair share of bad picks recently.

if someone could do this shit and be dead on everytime, he'd be the richest dude in america.

I'm not ready to blame our WR's. If you watch a guys like Aaron Rodgers and Brady, watch them sometimes throw passes up letting the WR's go to make a catch, or make a play. I think Colt is gun shy right now. He is not showing me much of anything good to be honest. It's like he going backward and not forward. I don't think he has the arm strength either and I don't think he is tall enough for the NFL. I hope and pray he proves me wrong, I really do, I want to see a QB do well here.

But on the other hand I agree with what was said, our play calling doesn't look like a WCO.. Not even close. I don't see fast slants... Shoot did we even run ONE screen play? I have seen some great screens ran this year, but not from us. We have two dynamic TE's in Watson and Moore.. why aren't we going to them more. Our play calling and offensive scheme SUCKS... Shurmur is calling horrible games IMO. And where is Hillis.. Why isn't he running outside the tackles more or getting passes out in the flats.. (I do wish he would pick his feet up more and he wouldn't get tripped up like he does).

I wanted to see a different team, and we are not..

i strongly disagree...i see a QB that has checked down to the RB before he finishes a 3 step drop. he doesn't even look at the WR's unless its a called slip screen....we could have hall of famers on the outside and they wouldn't get the ball thrown their way.

furthermore he never steps up in the pocket...simply scrambles outside if he hasn't already dumped the ball off for hardesty to drop.

I still say draft a WR, OL, and DL before anything else. Colt hasn't looked great this year but he has been better than what we have dealt with for the past 11 years. We still have many holes to fill, yet we are tied for 2nd in the division at 2-2. Don't forget that this same Titans team destroyed the Ravens too. It's amazing how last week everyone is on the playoff bandwagon and now after today's loss everyone thinks we are the worst team in the league! Quit overreacting! We are only a 7 or 8 win team at best. We are rebuilding with new coaches, offensive schemes, defensive schemes, and a ton of young players. We have signed a few young guys long term and will continue to do so going forward. If Heckert continues to draft well the Browns will be fine. Just stop expecting results over night.

Geez what happened? Are we out of koolaid? Cmon guys its too early to say they suck!! They have too suck longer than this before you can say they suck!! Its not too late, we can still make the playoffs!!!!!

Yes watch Brady and Rogers throw. They throw to open receivers. I watched the GB game today and of the 30 some completions Rogers had. 20 or more were OPEN RECEIVERS. We almost never have guys as open as GB receivers are.

I'm doing my best to be optimistic, mostly because I'm sick of all of the negativity around here, but I don't think this team has any chance of making the playoffs. I certainly hope I'm wrong but I don't think it's possible with this team this year. 8 wins would be a successful season in my mind at this point and that's going 6-6 the rest of the way with 4 games against Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

It's got to be much easier for a QB when he KNOWS someone is going to be open. Just drop back, plant the back foot, and fire. Like Rogers, Brady, or Brees. They all have great receivers and we hae Robiskie,A kick returner, and Mo Mas. not to mention 4 TE's running 4 yard turn around patterns.

He's affraid to throw it because the receivers are NEVER were they are supposed to be. He never had problems throwing to his spots in College. Get him some receivers he can trust aand he would do much better IMO

This team has no chance of making the playoffs..

As far as colt mccoy goes, i think its fair to say he has no legit WR targets but i also think its fair to say colt is not looking like a prospect, he is to often jumping straight to the primary target and skipping over open guys in the process..

Its also safe to say the kid gets a lot of pressures and has zero vertical passing built in to the gameplan..

Colt does sometimes appear not trust his WRs and or his own ability to deliver a precise strike and you cant blame him with often only a couple feet of separation it takes an extremely precise throw which i now tend to doubt that colt can deliver with or without adequate time..

Things should get better but they may get worse if colt doesnt start taking some shots at those blanket covered wideouts and if shurmur doesnt install some vertical relief....

I know heckert wants to show hillis that hardesty can replace him but hardesty is not yet a big playmaker and hillis is, tom needs to quit meddling and trying to run the team from upstairs and leave hillis in the huddle..

lmao...how can you possibly know this to be true? no doubt there's some wrong routes, but to NEVER be there is completely asinine to even consider...

how would colt even know if they were there when he never looks at them....he's already checked down before they get off the line. the WCO is designed for the QB to throw to a spot....he doesn't even do that, he doesn't even try...captain checkdown just lobs it to the running back or the TE on a drag route. that appears to be more of lack of confidence in himself rather than confidence in his WRs. not possessing the physical tools to hit tight windows prevents him from even trying. how can the WRs even make a catch if they are never thrown to?

most of his problems are mental....so dont even try bring up college BS cause this isn't xxxxing college. defenders are bigger, stronger and faster....the best of what college has to offer. even the scrubs that make teams are the best of what college has to offer. how many times do you have to see a player bust before you realize college success does not mean a player succeeds in the NFL. J-Fat was awesome in college, and sucked horse cock at the NFL level. does the compute?

I disagree.Colt knows his receivers are not going to be were they need to be. They never are.They can't get off the line. They also are not called on to run deep routes.The only time anyone runs a deep route is when one of our 6 TE's goes deep. None of our so-called WR's can go deep.

It's so easy to blame the QB................. but when the QB has no help.............. be it the pay calling or the personel.

The Browns are out talented ever week. And they are going to be out-coached........until they get more talent. The coaching ill never win unless they get more talent
