So we have about 12.8 million under the cap after signing joe thomas, rubin and gocong.
I like the rubin and thomas signing but gocong is still a head scracher..

yeah. gocong? he hasn't impressed me at all (well none of our LBs have except DQ).
i know you don't like heckert but i think he's done great in the draft. BUT as someone else had said in another post he's gotta drop that connection with his philly roots and stop signing their retreads.

yea i dnt like gocong not impressive and we need to make a trade or somethen for a receiver cus we suck at that position.

I don't think we need to trade for a wr. The ship has sailed for wr. We will have to wait until next year to bring in a play maker. What we need to do is release robiske, play greg little and give carlton mitchel a shot.
Where is joey grecco at?? He was a waste of a trade..

Again, had Modell fielded a team like this, and been $12.8 shyt of the cap....... he would have been crucified.
Like Generalissimo Francisco Franco, Modell is still dead. So why are we talking about him? Why don't you talk about Bill Veeck or Mickey McBride.
And FYI, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan aren't going to be running for President again.
How about trying to figure out our current situation and quit worrying about the past....in the context at least of what this team needs now. No one has probably done more study of football's past than I have....but that past doesn't help us win the next game.

I have blasted Heckert and Holmgren and Randy learner all year long.. I have complained for them to sign someone and use their money..
But yes gocong was still a big deal..
what scares me most is we ONLY have 12 million to spend and still have a crappy team..

OK, more like it. Good questions. Not that I have the answers. On the cap issue, they need to sigh Hillis to use some of it.
