Green Vs Little Vs Jones
-
Stats are Stats...everybody bitching about what Jones has done in Altanta. He really has not done that much, now he is a very good wide-out, but stats dont lie..
Rk Player Team Pos Rec Yds Avg Yds/G Lng TD 20+ 40+ 1st 1st% FUM
1 A.J. Green CIN WR 41 635 15.5 70.6 58 6 12 4 27 65.9 0
2 Greg Little CLE WR 37 379 10.2 42.1 52 0 3 1 21 56.8 0
3 Julio Jones ATL WR 30 498 16.6 71.1 80T 2 7 4 19 63.3 0
I think I would take any three of these Wide outs, the difference in TDs is our Coach and our QB, but the fact that Jones has Ryan is the big difference and the fact Altanta offense is just better than the Browns, of course everybody else offense is better than the Browns
-
Little has the second most receptions, but that is it.
Now I love little, so I am not complaining, I am just saying that if you're going to post stats they may want to back up what you're going for.
-
There is no backing up anything, I like all three wide-outs. It just shows that Little is hanging with Jones and Green
Green, I think is hands down the best rookie wide-out. He has a rookie QB, even thou Dalton is a good young QB he is still a rookie. Green to put up stats like that is great.
Jones again has Ryan at QB and Turner at RB with Gonzo and White also. They are not Doubling Jones at all in ATL.
Little gets doubled all the time, because we have no other wide-outs. Cribbs is becoming a decent WR, but still.
All I am saying is that I think if you mix all three of these players up and put them on other teams. I think they would have about the same stats.
Example
If Jones was in Cleveland I think he would have around the same stats that Little has right now, Put Green in ATL samething, put Little in Cincy samething..
-
No one has mentioned that Little is a late 2nd Round pick and the other two were taken 4th and 6th respectively. And with as much as Atlanta gave up to get Jones, he may as well been the number 1 pick.

very true

No complaint about Little, imo great steal in the draft. The real problem is that Little, Massaquoi, Robesikie, Cribbs, Mitchell, and Norwood are all the same type of reciever, non of them are big or able to stretch the field.
Little should be a decent receiver as he develops over the next couple of yrs, but without a deep threat at WR you will see dbs play alot of 1v1 with blitzes.

Yeah, "smart" observation. WHo needs Julio's 7 TDs? We sure don't.
I love it when homies try to fabricate shit that doesn't exist.
Speaking of fabricating, Julio has only scored in one game and has 2 TDs, not 7.
-
Yes Julio has 2 Tds Goolie, As I said before he always has a reall QB, RB, TE, and Another WR
Put Little in ATL and he could be close if not he same numbers
"Yes, and by the standard of your intelligence you would also be happy with any one of the choice between Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie or Oprah WInfrey"
Does that mean Jones is Oprah, dont know about you but I do not like them Black and Big

I disagree with you in one aspect. Carlton Mitchell should get more of a shot IMO. He ran a 4.4 at the combine and is 6'3". That sounds like a stud in the making. I know he has had trouble catch the ball with his body instead of his hands, but with his speed he SHOULD be able to get open. Also, from what i've seen this year Jordan Norwood isn't explosive but is quick through his breaks and gets good seperation pretty quickly.

Not to mention both touchdowns came against the 0-10 Colts. Yes Ghoolie, we are all impressed..

Reminds me of the Tony Rizzo rant that started after someone suggested giving Mitchell a chance. After a year and a half on a team with no great WR's, I am guessing that he is not going to be WR we are looking for.

Too much fabricating going on here by a lot of people
First thing i'd like to say is: JULIO JONES HAS ONLY PLAYED IN SIX GAMES THIS YEAR. HE WENT OUT LAST WEEK AGAIN WITH A HAMSTRING INJURY. Just like Hillis is going through.
Given that fact Little and Green have played 3 more games, there stats wouldnt even be comparable. Its beyond me "tampadawgs" how you can watch Julio Jones play and then watch Little, n say that their in the same class. Your just spouting off at the mouth for entertainment purposes. You don't really believe what you said, if you have given yourself a chance to view both players. Julio Jones is so much better than Little in every aspect of being a WR. I'm just so sick of everybody on this board running their mouths, putting non-intelligent posts day in and day out on this site. Let's talk like we know football, not just to sound important or cause a rift with dumb annoying non factual opinions. Thank You.
We all complain about our front office, but a lot of you guys are beyond clueless.

Little isn't even in this conversation, and I like Little. He is a possession receiver not a downfield threat. Little doesn't stretch the field and he isn't quick or explosive off of the line of scrimmage. If he was in the conversation the Browns would be trying to force it to him in the red zone and not Moore.
-
The fact that Jones has had to sit out 3 games already speaks more to me than his production in the games he has played in. What I said before the season still stands true. Jones was always injured in college and he is always going to be injured in the Pro's. I would rather trade back, grab a lot of picks, and draft Little than to spend the 6th over all pick on a guy who is going to constantly miss a quarter of the season every year.
-
well, bring little is a second rounder...hasn't played but 9 games in 2 years, ill take it.
those of you puffing out your chest about jones need to step back....he's had i think 2 good games this year, injured 3, and never showed up the other 4. he has a veteran team around him.
green, on the other hand, has a rookie QB tossing him the rock as the best receiver on that team, and he's performing week in and week out.
jones at 6 was a reach....to trade 3 extra picks is gonna prove to be dimitrioffs (sp?) dagger to his career. 13-3 to missing the playoffs in the year they mortgaged their future. now what exactly are they going to rebuild with?
you madden fanboys are tiring sometimes....get a xxxxing clue.
-
I will say I would love to have Green instead, he would be making McCoy look like a Pro Bowler, but I'm also afraid that what people have said about Green is true, he is just too skinny to keep from getting injured. Anyone know what his knee injury is.

You gotta remember he's been hurt pretty much his whole time with the Browns.

Bum

lmao...imma bum cause you have no argument?
youve been sniffing jones jock strap since the draft....poking your little head up when he has a good game as proof we were wrong. as with any rookie, i dont make any judgements until a reasonable body of work has been achieved. however, pole smokers like you are the first to hop on at the first site of success, while ignoring all the failures.
ie, you dont even know what the xxxx youre watching.
