  • lmao...imma bum cause you have no argument?

youve been sniffing jones jock strap since the draft....poking your little head up when he has a good game as proof we were wrong. as with any rookie, i dont make any judgements until a reasonable body of work has been achieved. however, pole smokers like you are the first to hop on at the first site of success, while ignoring all the failures.

ie, you dont even know what the xxxx youre watching.

  • Too much fabricating going on here by a lot of people

First thing i'd like to say is: JULIO JONES HAS ONLY PLAYED IN SIX GAMES THIS YEAR. HE WENT OUT LAST WEEK AGAIN WITH A HAMSTRING INJURY. Just like Hillis is going through.

Given that fact Little and Green have played 3 more games, there stats wouldnt even be comparable. Its beyond me "tampadawgs" how you can watch Julio Jones play and then watch Little, n say that their in the same class. Your just spouting off at the mouth for entertainment purposes. You don't really believe what you said, if you have given yourself a chance to view both players. Julio Jones is so much better than Little in every aspect of being a WR. I'm just so sick of everybody on this board running their mouths, putting non-intelligent posts day in and day out on this site. Let's talk like we know football, not just to sound important or cause a rift with dumb annoying non factual opinions. Thank You.

We all complain about our front office, but a lot of you guys are beyond clueless.

so Julio Jones breaks a slant for 80 yrds and hes an all-pro Wide out..Really

I never said that Julio was not going to be a very good WR, but just because he has a sick body of work does not mean he will be all world like some of you think. Remember C. Brown Was all world DE at Penn State. Sick body of work, but could never stay on the field!!!!

when the draft came, and little was drafted by the Browns alot of people thought he was the second or third best WR in the draft, but his stock was down becasue he did not play his Sr yr at NC. The problem is you like hype players, the ones with the dread locks hanging out of the helmet really flashy players that everybody thinks will be the next big thing. You can being the greatest pitcher in the world, but if you cant stay on the field what good are you. Steven Jackson could be the best back in the NFL, but he cant stay on the field.

I like Jones, I think he will be a good WR. Do I think he will be great? Only time will tell. If he was in Cleveland he would have stats very close to Little.

Think about it?? We got Little in the second round who is our Maclin ( now we just need our Mccoy,Jackson,Avant,Vick,TEs) and we got 2 first this yr in the draft who I assume we will pick eith Jeffery or Blackmon which are both better than Jones.

Yes I think Jones and Little are in the same class given where they are at. Little in Cleveland and Jones in Atlanta. Shit I would think with everything Atlanta has, I would think Jones would have better stats...ohh wait he cant stay on the field!!!!

I think we have a running back that we all think will be a decent back in the NFl, but he cant stay on the field. HArdesty anyone??

JUst like you said Jones is better at WR in every aspect, I believe that is not true. Its your right to think that.

Maybe you have a thing for black men with bad Hammys and dread locs your choice!!!!

Yeah, "smart" observation. WHo needs Julio's 7 TDs? We sure don't.

I love it when homies try to fabricate shit that doesn't exist.

And when you try and fabricate ridiculous poop that Jones would have even better stats with the Browns than with Atlanta even after we give you 5 valid reason why not? Quit smoking this injury prone guy with mediocre hands scholng. We had his clone already remember him? Braylon Edwards?

Wow, when he actually manages to catch a ball, his 4.3 speed can take it to the house. Against a crap Colts defense.

You want some stats? Some WR stats Gotta hand it to that Jones kid- one point better than that world beater Brian Hartline.

  • well, bring little is a second rounder...hasn't played but 9 games in 2 years, ill take it.

those of you puffing out your chest about jones need to step back....he's had i think 2 good games this year, injured 3, and never showed up the other 4. he has a veteran team around him.

green, on the other hand, has a rookie QB tossing him the rock as the best receiver on that team, and he's performing week in and week out.

jones at 6 was a reach....to trade 3 extra picks is gonna prove to be dimitrioffs (sp?) dagger to his career. 13-3 to missing the playoffs in the year they mortgaged their future. now what exactly are they going to rebuild with?

you madden fanboys are tiring sometimes....get a xxxxing clue.

I've said before- if the Bengals hadn't taken Green, the Browns would have.

And to the Jones Fanboy Club: If the Playoffs started next week, guess what? The Falcons would be watching them on TV, just like the Browns.

Now with crap teams like Carolina, Vikings, and Jaguars left on the schedule, it will be hard for the Falcons to not win 10 games, and sneak into the post season, assuming the Lions continue their collapse. However, you taking them to beat Green Bay and make the Super Bowl? Um, not me.

So it comes down to this-

IF THE FALCONS DON'T WIN A SUPER BOWL IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS, THE JONES TRADE WAS A MASSIVE FAIL.

  • You have to look at what we got trading down to Atlanta. A very good rookie WR in Little, a beast in Phil Taylor who may of had one of his best games last week and an additional 1st rounder next year. I'd say we got the better of that deal hands down and if Heckert drafts like he has been the last two seasons than that first rounder will make this deal even better.

  • I forgot that this last year's draft was the only draft we could get a #1 WR in. How could I be so stupid. Now what are we going to draft with one of our 2 first rounders this year?!?

Taylor and Sheard played some angry ball this week.

  • Lmao....what's that word u kids love nowadays?

    Owned?

  • Little, like I've been constantly saying, doesn't get the correct routes called for him but when he does he does well, he's also somewhat limited by McCoy.

    he'll be good don't worry.

  • Little + Blackmon/Jeffery = a very interesting starting receiver corps. With our probably top 2-6 pick in the draft this year coming up, it's hard to believe that we WON'T take Blackmon or Jeffery. And either of those guys teamed with Greg Little will be fun to watch.

Passing on Jones for the extra picks and still snagging Little (with the second round pick we got from Atlanta by the way) was the far superior deal.

  • I agree that it is silly to compare Little talent or production wise with Julio Jones (who has missed a few games but has still put up bigger numbers). But, as mentioned on this thread, Jones is playing with a team that has Ryan, Turner, Gonzales, and Roddy White, which should not be overlooked.

Additionally, people forget that Little did not play a snap of football last year AND he only played 1 full year of WR in his life (add that to no off season, which I think hurts Little more than Jones). All Im saying is I dont think right now is the time to compare the two WRs because Little has the potential to improve tremendously at the position. Im not saying he is in the same class as Julio at all, but I think he will continue to close the gap as he gets better and the Browns get more talent.

I know this isnt comparing the two WRs straight up, but Phil Taylor was GREAT last game, and we still have a 1st and 4th next year from the trade. Id do the trade again in a heart beat.

  • When I saw Little and Green work out for whats-his-name the coach (dammit)....

Little is a bit shorter, but they are very similar. One ran a play, the other ran the same play.

it looks exactly the same to me, after the coach had Little make his break on a dime.

Little was a great pick. He is like the rest of the offense - he is limited by the offensive line

pass blocking on the right side. Well, that, and not much of a running game ususally....

  • If we are picking 2-6 in the draft we won't be picking WR, we will be picking QB.

Just think what Jerry Rice, Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, and Drew Brees would have achieved if they had a good OL..........................Little is no Green or Jones, different caliber of cat

for mr Hillis, Green's injury is hyperextension

As I said in another post, if the Browns and Falcons stay in their current positions, Browns will be drafting from 9-12 with their pick and from about 15-22 with ATL's pick.

What would YOU like to see them draft?

A playmaker? OK...is that a WR or RB? Blackmon/Floyd/Jeffreys/Trent Richardson. Would any one of those satify all y'all who are calling for a playmaker? (not that I am not one of you)

We definitely need help in the LB corps. Anyone disagree? That should be a priority....though I might like to see Chase Minifield with that 2d pick.

  • If we are picking 2-6 in the draft we won't be picking WR, we will be picking QB.

No we won't, because their is no QB beyond Luck worthy of that high a pick. And obviously the Colts are TRYING to lose every game to insure that they get Luck.

Yeah, I'm right with you on WR-LB with the first two picks. RT in the second round. Minnifield is interesting, would fill a need, is a great sentimental pick, and Sheldon Brown is about shot. But the sensible side of me says- take a look at the Eagles with their All-World Cornerback crew- doesn't help you much if you don't have a decent set of linebackers to get some qb pressure.

  • Jauron doesn't blitz much, so lbers aren't bringing the heat. They're run stoppers in this d

😆 😆 Well. Considering the Browns are 30th in run defense, ya think we might need some serious improvement in that area????
