Even Our Trick Plays Are Illegal

Keith,
Actually, I think the second forward pass is still legal as long as that first one was made and completed behind the line of scrimmage, which it was.

It was illegal, but I can't describe how glad I am we ran a trick play, and that it actually gained yardage.

Nope, I think he is right, only one forward pass per play, no matter what.

Correct. It's always hilarious when QBs get their pass swatted back to them, catch it, and throw it again. Makes me laugh every time.
I believe Painter did it a couple weeks ago.

Apparently you are right. I copied this from the NFL rule book:
An offensive team may make only one forward pass during each play from scrimmage (Loss of 5 yards).

That's awesome....we can't even run a trick play correctly.
I remember how ridiculously exciting it was to watch that play unfold though.

Well, actually, that play was run "Successfully" if not "correctly" in that it gained quite a bit of yards and no penalty was called on the play as apparently it should have.
