Here is this week's trivia dealing with the Browns vs. Jags:
Answers:
1. What is the Browns/Jags head to head record all time in the regular season?
Jags have edge 9-4. The series got off to a bad start when big bad BBs team lost 2 games to the first year expansion Jags.
2. The Jags #2 career leading receiver at one time played for the Browns. Who is he?
Keenan McCardell
3. The Browns 4th round pick in the 2004 draft now plays for the Jags. Who is he?
Luke McCown who began this year as the Jags starting QB
4. In their short history, the Jags have met 1 team 4 times in postseason play. What is this team?
The Patriots. Pats have won 3 out of 4 of those postseason meetings.
5. What is the current name of the Jags stadium?
Everbank Field. It was Alltel.....but, in reality it is simply the renovated Gator Bowl.
6. When Jacksonville was granted an expansion team in 1993 what 4 other cities were also up for consideration for expansion?
Charlotte, of course, which was the other city chosen along with Baltimore, St. Louis and Memphis. Of course, each of those other cities ended up "stealing" teams, if you count Memphis and Nashville as one entity (I am sure they do not).
The big loser in the Franchise Musical Chairs that was being played in the mid-90s was ultimately Los Angeles....and the fact of the matter is, apparently, LA didn't care all that much.
7. Against which team did the Jags gain their first home field victory in their inaugural season in 1995?
The Pittsburgh Steelers
8. What is the name of the Jags mascot?
Jaxson De Ville (Why the Jaguars...a team with the same name as a Ford product....Jaguar is owned by Ford, would choose a name reminiscent of a GM product,..the Cadillac DeVille, I don't know. Perhaps because Ford threatened to sue the Jags over the initial Jaguar logo the team had, saying it was too similar to the logo for the Jaguar auto)
9. Who was the Jags defensive coordinator in their inaugural 1995 season?
Dick Jauron
10. Who is the Jags current running backs coach?
Ernest Byner
11. What geographical distinction does the city of Jacksonville hold in the US?
Jacksonville is the city with the largest land mass, with 747 square miles of land, in the CONTINENTAL US. Not the entire US. Several Alaskan cities have more sq. miles including Anchorage, Sitka, Juneau, and Wrangell. Compare Jax to Cleveland which has only 77.6 square miles. Jax is nearly 10 time larger.
12. What significance do the names Terry McCauley, Ryan Slattery, Rob Misso, and Michael Roche have in Browns/Jags history?
Terry McCauley was the inept referee of the Bottlegate game. Slattery, Misso, and Roche are given credit by The Urban Dictionary as being the three fans who threw the first bottles onto the field as a result of that referring disaster.
Bonus: Name at least 2 former Browns personalities that were associated with The Jacksonville Bulls
Lindy Infante was the Head Coach of the Jacksonville Bulls for 2 years, 84/85. The Bulls starting QB under Infante in 1985: Brian Sipe.
Sipe started the 1985 Bulls season at QB (after playing a year for the New Jersey Generals), but only got to throw 89 passes for them when he suffered a career ending injury. The fact is, the Jacksonville Bulls were the last professional football team that Brian Sipe played for.

In regard to the geographic size of NFL cities, here is their rank in terms of size:
1. Jacksonville
2. Houston
3. Phoenix (even though the Cards play in Glendale, I count Phoenix)
4. Nashville
5. Indianapolis
6. Dallas (even though Cowboys play in Arlington)
7. San Diego
8. Kansas City
9. New York City (even though Jets/Giants play in NJ)
10. Charlotte
11. Chicago
12. New Orleans
13. Denver
14. Detroit
15. Philadelphia
16. Atlanta
17. Tampa
18. Seattle
19. Baltimore
20. Cincinnati
21. Cleveland
The NFL cities georgraphically that are smaller than Cleveland include Boston, Buffalo, Oakland, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Miami, Minneapolis(not counting St. Paul), and Green Bay.
So? Does size matter?

Interesting stat:
While Cleveland is 77.6 square miles, Cuyahoga Co. is 1246 sq. miles. meaning that Cleveland only constitutes a little over 6% of the land mass of the County. I would have thought it was much more than that...more like 25%.
-

It sure looks like it covers more than 6%. I need to check those figures
-
Ah, OK, here is the problem:
Apparently, officially Cuyahoga Co.'s "area" includes the part of Lake Erie that extends all the way out to the Canadian Border. With Lake Erie that gives the Co. the 1246 sq. miles. If you just take the land portion it is only 458 sq. miles., and Cleveland being 77.6 sq. miles it makes up about 17% of Cuyahoga Co.s land mass. That seems more like it.
-
Technically, a map of Cuyahoga County would actually look like this:
-
Bottom line on this is that all of the land portion of Cuyahoga Co. is only 458 sq. miles.
Jacksonville is 747 sq. miles. That is almost like taking Cuyahoga and Summit Co. Combined.
And FYI, the population of Jacksonville is 821,784. The populations of Summit and Cuyahoga counties combined is 1,821,784.

LOL, you beat me to it Gip. I believe "officially" the correct answer is Anchorage, if you're counting all states. However, having been there several times I can say with confidence the habitated part of the city is not much bigger than Dayton, Ohio. If you live in the 'burbs, you have moose and grizzly bears running through your back yard. Drive a couple miles East up to Glen Alps, or a few miles South on the Seward Highway to Bird Ridge, You're in total wilderness, though "Technically" inside the city limits.
Welcome to the Anchorage 'burbs.

The habitated part of Jacksonville is probably not much larger than Dayton either. Jax takes in vast areas of swampland and intercoastal waterways as well as a lot of farm country as well.
