Happy Thanksgiving Browns Board

The Browns Board

  • I would like to wish everyone here at the Brownsboard and their families a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving. May you all have enough to eat, good friends and family and a roof over your heads and be warm. And may we all remember those that do not have these things or that are struggling. Please keep them in mind this year and remember them before you indulge in your meal. We never know who may be struggling. It could even be people here on this board. And also remember those that leave an empty seat at the table and be grateful they were here for holidays past.

And if you'll be going over the river and through the woods to grandma's house or anywhere for that matter, please travel safe. And don't eat turkey and drive.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

There will be 6 of us in the family down here in Florida for Turkey Day. The Turkey we have is capable of feeding 17 people.

    I'm scared.

Thanks Heidi, Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

LOL I think I'd be more afraid if a turkey that can feed 17 people were still alive. That's a lot of gobble gobble. I see many days of tukey sandwiches, soup and turkey suprise in your forseeable future.

  • Thanks!

We'll be heading down to Columbus for a Family gathering.

I do have to say that some of our most wonderful Thanksgiving memories are those of helping serve Thanksgiving dinner to those facing difficult times. The only thing I would change is that I would BAN all media cameras so all those folks in attendance could enjoy their meal in peace while retaining their dignity. That being said, serving those dinners was an honor, a reminder to be thankful for all we have, and the opportunity to teach our children how Blessed they are to have what they have.

I continue to Pray for those less fortunate. To quote my dear departed Mother in Law, "But for the grace of God, there go I".

  • What a wonderful time for eating too much, and playing card games with friends, and playing Wii go kart races,

and having fun with family and friends and ...

football while eating more, way too much.

And being very, very THANKFUL for all our Blessings.

Between farm work and helping our friend paint her house (interior) and garden work,

and having one Thanksgiving dinner aleady... we go to another one today...

I really LOVE a big turkey dinner. With spiraled ham and deviled eggs and homemade bread dressing

and hot fluffy dinner rolls, and butter and whole cranberry sauce and veggies and football and

sweet southern yams and pecan pie and pumpkin pie with coffee and more football....

    gotta get ready to go.

    Happy Thanksgiving to everybody !

Thank you Heidi for all you do here and everywhere

  • Happy Thanksgiving to everyone on this board and their families. May God continue to bless you all.

  • Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Our family tradition is to go to Pittsburgh every turkey day (dad is from Pittsburgh, remember). Went there where every year it's 15 Steeler fans and me (they aren't the ignorant, asshole fans thank God) and now I'm in Youngstown with my wife's family. Hope everyone is safe.
