You're analogy is a bad one. Teams with the talent level of San Diego don't often have losing seasons. The Chargers will be just fine. They will finish with a better record than the Browns, AND they will make it back to the playoffs BEFORE the Browns do.

I dunno. Methinks the Chargers could very well be on a major downhill slide. Now, a new coach for them could turn it around, because I believe you are right. Overall they do have better talent.

But then: we don't know how good the Browns talent is either because by all indices our coach makes Norv Turner look like Vince Lombardi incarnate.

Phillip Rivers playoff record is not all that great, although I would trade being in the playoffs most every year and losing early rather than not making the playoffs at all.

OH my like the Steelers and Patriots do not have OL injuries, hell one steeler starter was cut preseason, but of course, our 80 million dollar OLINE IS makling scoring so easy................and the Patriots and Steelers are fawoded because of OL issues

I didn't say anything about the Steelers or Patriots OL or their injuries. I was commenting on Philip Rivers playoff record which isn't that great. It's actually better than I thought. He's 3-4 in his career in the playoffs. Which again I would trade for in a heartbeat.

I don't know whether or not we have these leaders on this team. At least,they have not yet emerged if they are there.

As far as our FO giving a shit...I don't think it is a matter of not giving a shit. Its more a question of capability.

In terms of Heckert, I will say that I think he has definitely increased the talent level on this team with his choices......which demonstrates how devoid of talent this team was before he got here.
