  • Wouldn't kicking people out for having different opinions kind of defeat the purpose of a forum to begin with? I'm not saying you have to agree with their opinion, but as long as their opinion regards the subject at hand, you can't really kick them out for it. To do so would be a despotic move at best. Just to clarify, I'm not defending their opinion, just their right to have it.

    I really don't want anyone to get banned or anything. I just felt like trying to get them riled up a little. Some of the Squeeler fans need to be messed with more.

  • OK, here's the deal folks. I've been on this board since it's inception. The guy who runs this place- Atenears has been known to frequent Steeler boards for kicks and giggles, so in reciprocation, trolls and flamebaiters have always been tolerated here- to a point.

    FWIW, Rich was banned here, and allowed to come back. Ghoolie was asked to leave- and did, and later returned. I'm sure I could ask him today to take a hike, and I'm certain he would.

    If you don't like the resident Steeler trolls there's a couple of other Browns message boards out there- and it's not Rocket Science to find them- that have ZERO tolerance for trolling and flaming.

    For me this is a labor of love, I spend way too much time here already, and it's not my style to kick someone off because someone else doesn't like him. I've been through the Cleveland-Baltimore Flamewars when Modell pulled the rug out from under us- and that was before the days of filtering\ignore and ISP banning- anything went- and did. You think Ghoolie's bad? You ain't seen nothing my friends. We had a Baltimoron jackass throw out 26,000 anti-Cleveland flames- and the guy wasn't even a football fan, just a smartass booger Debate Squad Champion. Not a thing I (or anyone else) could do about it- for three years until twit filters got invented.

    And I case any of you have ever wondered about my screen name- it's a deliberate misspelling- there was already one of us on AOL...... THE HORTA...... Like the Horta, I can vaporize trolls if I have a mind to- I've had lots of practice.

  • 8 years of having a true toilet bowl team with an non flushable turd for an owner will certainly cause sewage to flow onto the floor and beyond..

    And remember as the baltimore browns roll into the playoffs this year who's stolen attitude and ID they have and then look at how the lerners have continuously tried to bring us west coast sissy ball and have consistently failed because it doesnt work in these parts..

    This owners weak and flexible design that is based on whichever inexperienced minion lerner has put in charge at the time, these minions idea of a browns team never really have fit the city or the fanbase and never has and likely never will..
