Why is he covering up his mouth on play calling?

This is his first year and he is already about caught up with mangini skill wise and that is not saying much..

Shurmur really lacks the required skills to be an effective coach and i really hope holmgren doesnt think this fanbase will take much more of this garbage..

I agree. Mangini looks like Lombardi compared to the idiot we have now

More examples of Schmucker's horrible coaching, throw a 0 yard pass on 4th and 5,then waste ALL 3 TO's in the second half, then have guys jump offside when EVERYONE ON THE PLANET knows the hard count was coming.

          FIRE THIS IDIOT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible clock management, terrible discipline, and terrible play-calling at crucial moments. It isn't just bad coaching, it is incompetent which is much worse. He needs to go.

I beleive in continuity also, But you need the right people to have that. And we don't have the right people

This loss falls on Phil Taylor. I feel sorry for him but you've gotta remember he's just a rookie. Flacco got so lucky that Phil wanted to rip Rice's head off! Man, sucks for Phil, he's had a pretty solid year. This loss hurt the most because I think the guys battled pretty good after being down 20 points.

There is plenty of blame to pass around. The question is how to fix it 🙂

Nope, it's not possible to win with Shurmur in charge of the offense. Jauron has done decently with the talent he has at his disposal. Can't blame Adams for trying to break up a sure TD, and get called for interference.

Shurmur makes Mangini and Crennell look like freaking geniuses in comparison. I'll go even farther- Shurmur is the worst coach in the history of the Cleveland Browns. He's done less with more- the Browns have better talent than in 2010, a softer schedule, and will end up with less wins.

Dear Mr. Holmgren- swallow your pride, and admit hiring Patty Cakes was a huge mistake. He might know your system, but he's clueless as how to run it, and his total lack of awareness on the sidelines- McCoy's concussion, and that Pop Warner mistake at the end of the half in my book are enough to get his sorry ass fired.

I listened to the press conf after the game. He said he didn't call the run play which is what I figured based on his reaction on the side line. Whether you believe it or not I guess is up to your predisposition on Shurmur.

Not only did he say it, but Seneca said it was on him to....Seneca called a run play while Shurmur was in his headset telling him to spike it, Shurmur says "never in a millions years would I call a run play in that situation."

And anybody who thinks this team is more talented right now than Mangini's team last year is absolutely nuts. I loved Mangini but he had a Veteran team that knew what they were doing and new how to gameplan. This team right now is young and clueless, they have the potential to be better than what Mangini had, but right now, no where close.

He may be a good head coach but his hiring set the Browns back years..... not really his fault but hey he has yet to this day said one bad thing about the browns and vise versa.Of any coach we did wrong it was romeo.

"We are Americans. We don't quit doing something because it's wrong. We just keep doing the wrong thing till it turns out right." Browns maybe the most American Football team ever.

Maybe the season ticket holders should hold out?

We can only hold out so long before we are in violation of our PSL agreement and lose the seats and the $1000 or so each we paid to secure them.

I know it sounds fashionable to say we should hold out, but it isn't that easy when you have invested a great deal of emotion and a little cash in the team.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
