    1986 with a 12-4 record for a .750 win pct.B. Prior to the NFL/AFL 1970 merger, in which season did the Browns have their best winning pct., regular season only?

    1948 of course, with a 14-0 record and a 1000 win pct.

    2.A. Since the NFL/AFL 1970 merger, in which season did the Steelers have their best winning pct., regular season only?

    2004 they had a 15-1 record for a .937 win pct.

    B. Prior to the NFL/AFL 1970 merger, in which season did the Steelers have their best winning pct. regular season only?

    1947 they had an 8-4 record for a .666 win pct.

    3. A. Since the Merger, in which season did the Browns have their worst winning pct. regular season?

    That was their 'expansion' season of 1999 with a 2-14 record. which is a .125 win pct.

    B. Prior to the merger, in which season did the Browns have their worst winning pct., regular season?

    1956 the Browns were 5-7 for a .417 win pct. That was the ONLY season pre-merger that was a losing season.

    In 1988 the Steelers were 5-11 for a .312 win pct.

    The Browns have had 15 seasons of 10 or more losses. The majority of these have been since 1999

    The Steelers have had 7 double digit loss seasons.

    Only one year, 1999 did the Browns win as few as 2 games.

    Well, in season I usually try to make these quizzes oriented around the Browns opponent that week and the Browns relationship vis a vis that team. Off season will be more generic.

    Why do you use 4 years of AAFC Browns data, but not 8 years of NFL Rams data? 😛

    Still pissed at the Rams for leaving after they won a title? At least they left us for LA...

    Because it depends on the category. In certain trivia categories I DO use other NE Ohio teams, including Bulldogs/Pros etc.

    This particular set was franchise specific. And sometimes it is simply a matter of ease of access to the data.
