Cordy Glenn At #22?

The Browns Board

  • I see Cordy Glenn (OG, Georgia) popping up for us at #22 in a couple Mocks.

Nice feet, good head, very calm in his stance. Conditioning is a question and I'd like a little more explosion into his run blocks, but we could do a lot worse...

Personally I'd be surprised if he lasted that long, but put him between Thomas and Mack...

  • I disagree completely. The right side of the line (specifically RT) is a much bigger problem than the left. We need a new RT first. Also, Steinbach is back next year as LG.

  • I can guarantee you we will not be taking a guard in the first round. Right tackle maybe, guard, not a chance. Whoever is mocking that is an idiot

I kinda like your Sig Draft, but no OL help anywhere? Not feeling that...

  • We could go either RG or RT to be honest. We go RG and move Pinkston over to RT when Stienbach comes back and then when Stienbach retires we move the RG over to LG and either sign a new RG, draft one, or Lauvou us ready to actually be a starter at that point. Or we just go RT and Pinkston and Lauvou have a camp battle for the RG spot. Either way I also don't think we should look O-Line in the first round but at the same time I could see us doing that, especially if someone they rated high falls to us at 22 and I honestly wouldn't be that mad with how little 1st round picks cost now and the fact it is a huge need and we didn't waste our high pick on an O-Linemen.

I had us taking Alabama's Barret Jones with the 2nd first rounder until he decided to stay in school. It's difinitely a need, I just didn't work another one in, I'm sure they'll take OL somewhere in the draft.

I think Steinbach gets cut or traded, Lauvou and Pinkston are the future.

I think Pinkston will be good if he can improve his run blocking. I feel less sure about Lauvou. 2 seasons and brought in as a "smart" guy being an all academic player and he jumps offsides every single game and constantly gets blown up on the run and pass. Way to block Head and Shoulders last night he only sacked Wallace as soon as he got the snap.

    That's a scary thought.
