  • Well we are talking about draft picks and I know, we need to build through the draft!!!!! Who do you like off of this list or is there another FA that you think may become available by not being resigned?

Dwayne Bowe (KC) - One subpar season aside, Dwayne Bowe has emerged into the number one receiver the offense needs. He's a big body and a good route runner with a large catching radius. His most impressive attribute is his body of work around the goal line. He's a complete mismatch with the fade, slant, and back shoulder passes and has shown the propensity to make the acrobatic catches on numerous occasions.

Marques Colston (NO) - When healthy, Colston is a match-up nightmare for any corner. He's an incredibly physical receiver and a sure-handed, polished route runner. When he's available, he brings another dimension to the Saints offense that none of their other talented weapons possess. Though Brees has proven capable of running the offense without him, they're even more dangerous with him.

Brandon Lloyd (STL) - Lloyd's next contract will largely depend upon his production over the remainder of the season. Though he hasn't been as explosive and consistent as a year ago when he broke out at age 29, he still appears to be a dangerous receiver with the league's largest catching radius.

Robert Meachem (NO) - Meachem is one of the younger receivers that could be a nice pick-up for an offense with a larger workload to offer. He's a good downfield threat and has nice instincts in the red zone. Unlike Colston, Meachem is more of a luxury for the offense.

Mike Wallace (PIT) - Restricted - No receiver in the league forces safeties back like Wallace. His deep speed is second to none on the perimeter and he capitalizes on it with the ability to run those vertical routes proficiently. He's improving in other areas of his game and is an extremely valuable piece to the Steelers' offense.

    Roy Williams (CHI)

    Andre Caldwell (CIN)

    Jerome Simpson (CIN)

    Eddie Royal (DEN)

Jordan Norwood (CLE) - Exclusive Rights

Robert Mathis (IND) - DE - In a big offseason for the Colts, no defensive free agent is more important than Robert Mathis who has publicly stated his discontent with the lack of a long-term extension. The Colts defense relies upon quarterback pressure and Mathis is an enormous part of that. It'll be interesting to see if the Colts can scrounge together enough money to keep Mathis.

Calais Campbell (ARZ) - DE - Campbell is an important part of the defensive front for the Cardinals. His triangle numbers are off the charts and he has shown marked improvement overall as a football player over the past few years. His productivity would be hard to replace for a defense that can't afford to lose more talent.

Cliff Avril (DET) - DE - Avril has been a member of the Detroit D-Line revolution under Jim Schwartz and Ndamukong Suh. He's an explosive pass rusher off the perimeterÑperhaps Detroit's best. Even so, the Lions line has had no problem getting to the passer regardless of who they play at defensive end; so while retaining their best exterior pass rusher may seem important, it's probably less so considering the coaching staff and the offensive attention the interior linemen garner.

    Marcus Bernard (CLE)

    D'Qwell Jackson (CLE)

Carlos Rogers (SF) - Rogers is having another overlooked season as one of the league's most underrated players. After showing poor hands in Washington, he's managed to snag a couple picks early in the year which may start to help him garner more notice. As a cover corner, he's been among the league's best, but falling short of the elites. His consistency is admirable for a position that struggles with just that and the Niners should be the first to recognize his value.

Cortland Finnegan (TEN) - Despite some of his ÒdirtyÓ tactics as some may call it, Finnegan has been a top 10 corner for much of his career. He's strong in run support and solid in coverage. He lacks ideal size, but is a perfect fit for what the Titans do on the perimeter. There were rumors that Finnegan was displeased with the lack of contract talks coming into the year, which could signal some existing animosity on Finnegan's behalf.

  • I like both New Orleans recievers,Bowe as well.. Is Stevie Johnson going to be a F/A as well or did he sign a deal??

  • peyton manning anyone?

can tell u 2 things for sure.............#1 the Steelers will not be letting Wallace go........#2 Wallace would cut his balls off and play for the Pittsburgh Passion women's team before he played ball for the stains.

  • Colston & Bowe CB but why on earth would they come here? Bowe wants to win a super bowl so he is going to the Panthers or 49ers...Colston wants to be in the Hall so he will end up resigning in Orleans.

Don't laugh Carolina will win it in 2014 and the 49ers next year then it's the Browns turn in 2015.

Don't know that either would come here but if they did that would be great! I think more realistic would be Lloyd and Meachum! I watched many Rams games and Lloyd played great for them in that terrible offense. And Meechum can strstretch the field. I would love to see us land one of the DE on the list. We really need some help at the other end. Sheard is going to be a pro bowler many times over. He needs somebody great on the other side to help out.

I agree Wallace will stay most likely but the Steelers don't need him with the other young talent that they have. Brown has become a bigger threat. Can the Steelers afford him?

And as for Manning I would think the Colts will pay him and trade him and the price would be too high for somebody with only a few years left. Couldn't imagine him being cut.

True True True. The reason Brown is having such a good year is because Wallace is drawing all the attention.

Here lies the Browns problem. The organization is not what it needs to be.

We want high draft picks? Well, both of these steelers wideouts were NOT #1 or 2 draft picks.

They let go Holmes, and let Burress walk, and within 3-4 years have 2 guys that step up. The same will happen with their linebackers and linemen.

We need an owner that understands the bigger issues.

  • Another receiver I like who as of now is headed to the market is Pierre Garcon.

  • I don't think any free agent in their right mind would come to Cleveland if a payday is not their number one priority.

And honestly I'd have to question them if they would come here for anything but a pay day.

They'd have to be just as or even dumber than Shurmur, I don't see how any competent player would play for this guy.

Play calling and field decisions aside, the shit this guy says in press conferences seriously makes me wonder if this dude is mentally Retarded.

For a long time I felt that way. And for a few of the older guys it probably still rings true.

For that guy who signed a 3-4 year rookie contract...a guy who wan't a first rounder and didn't get the big payday, money indeed is a big concern.

If we pay them, they will come.

    Simple as that.

He will go where the money is, no matter what.

  • Here are some moves that could take place this offseason that should help the Browns to improve quickly in 2012.

*If he's not franchised, sign Matt Flynn to be the starting QB.

*Hire G.B.'s QB Coach Tom Clements to be the OC. (West Coast system, worked with Flynn)

*Sign a second teir Free Agent WR ie. Robert Meachem or Pierre Garcon.(don't see them going for a 1st teir WR)

*Resign Hillis and Ogbonnaya to go with Hardesty and Jackson.(if healthy, should be a good enough group of RBs)

*Resign key FAs like D'Qwell Jackson and Mike Adams.

*Trade down out of the #4 spot if possable and take T Matt Kalil for the right side of the O-line. Move Pinkston to RG with Eric Steinbach coming back at LG and that might be the best line in the league.

*With the second 1st round pick, go for a WR like Alshon Jeffery. Add that to the FA WR, G. Little and J. Norwood and the WR core is much improved.

-With these moves, the Browns would still have 7 or eight picks left to fill in there roster. Also, this plan only calls for 2 outside FAs being brought in. Should leave room for more moves.

Free agents will come to Cleveland, especially if we upgrade QB ... we have a lot of defensive talent , a lot of draft picks and an arrow pointing UP next to our name. We've got money, a respected team prez, our players are treated well, the community embraces them, etc...

I love the youth movement, I see exactly where we are going talent-wise, Shurmur will become a better game day coach, his bungling this year just got us better draft picks in every single round, we werent ready anyway.

It is time to sprinkle in a couple vets. Robert Mathis would turn Jabal Sheard into an All Pro ... get him. Colston or Bowe on the other side of Little.

With so many draft needs, if we could take two of them off the board with some big signings we would greatly speed up our ascent to contention.

    Z

Do most the FA signings happen prior to the Draft then, my mind is going blank trying to think back, must be all the Whisky, Moonshine and Orange Shit rotting my brain. Free Agency starts looks like Mar 13th, so will have over a month til the NFL Draft, suppose most the better players will go before the Draft, and will just be left with the dross afterwards.

  • Getting Wallace could be good, very good. Doubt he would come, but you talk about a defense stretcher, he has the speed and the hands we need and we don't waste a pick on a top WR.

I'm slightly concerned about the WR from NO. Only because WR's and QB's make each other great IMO. We know they can produce, but do we have the right QB, to let them produce. Right now, in Colt or Seneca, I don't believe we have guys that have the confidence to throw the way Brees does.

  • Would love Dwayne Bowe but he's going somewhere that has a solid QB. Colt can't get it done.

  • Would love Dwayne Bowe but he's going somewhere that has a solid QB. Colt can't get it done.

  • Barry Sanders Jr. Tyvm lol skip college and the draft and walk on PLZ

FA Desean or Vincent Jackson, Mario Manningham, and Meachem or Colston depending on which the saints pay we take the other one for some reason those saints players like coming to Cleveland last few years and i would def accept either of them.
