Offense is the key to victory in the NFL. Put enough points on the board and you can get a W with an average defense.
New Orleans and Green Bay are both ranked near the bottom in many defensive stats. Who gives a flying fcuk that
your defense gives up 25 pts/game when your offense throttles full-speed-ahead averaging near 40 pts/game?

The only guy worth the 4th pick is Blackmon and if he isn't there we should trade down. We won't be able to do it for another first round pick this season though like calfoxwc said cause there are only 2 teams with 2 first round picks. Cincy has two that are late teens and then early twenties but we can't be giving a division rival a top 5 draft pick, and then the other team is the Patriots who have the Saint's pick, so both first rounds will be late picks. If RGIII is there we should be able to trade back two spots with Washington and get either their 3rd rounder this season, or their 4th, 5th, and 6th, or their 4th and 5th and their 4th next season. We could also trade with Miami for their 2nd rounder or this seasons 3rd and next years 3rd.

so if the top 3 are gone (and right now i guess we all agree are luck, rg3 and blackmon) do we take the OL or dangle the pick for a trade down?

We will see if a great defense such as the steelers could stop the saints. But one of the top 10 defenses in the Bengals couldn't handle the Texans. Dalton looked worse then Colt during our game with them. What I saw and I hope what most came away was that you don't need an elite QB. You still need a great running game (don't need an elite RB) to set up play action. I don't think Yates threw for more than 200 yards. It's still all about smash mouth football...kill the QB, kill the Running Game, intercept and let their defense keep guessing and hopefully if you can create 3 big plays you win. Of the 30-40 plays we run if we only were to connect 10% of the time on the BIG PLAY we win. The other fact I don't like about throwing the ball like the saints do, and I grew up a dolphins fan(are running game consisted of Sammy Morris)during the Marino era and I LOVE throwing the ball...is that you can not have a let down on offense and if you lose that one cog and breese has a subpar day you lose. I really think we need to improve our O line big time not one but 2 more big hole makers and I really believe we can win with COLT, SENECA, or BRAY.

Browns who score 10pts a game, can't compete with any Playoff team
Also, we usually throw one pass that is more than 30yds a game. That, is usually the hail marry at the end.

I couldn't disagree with you more. The only reason the texans won that game comfortably was due to the fact the bengals pissed away every little chance they had and watt made an insane play for that TD late. Those two challenge flags by Lewis were awful, and they're overall game plan was extremely poor. The reason the Texans were in the position to win to start with begins with Schaub. It's too early to say if Yates is a franchise guy so who knows what he could do. I don't disagree at all that a run game is still vital. I feel like Manning would have another ring on his hand if they would have drafted a top notch RB to go with him. But the bottom line is you need a franchise QB to win in today's NFL, period. Look since '04 super bowl winners: patriots, steelers, Colts, Giants, Saints and Packers. Not one of those guys is a "game manager" QB. The days of that is long gone. It's plainly obvious to win and contend for a super bowl you need a franchise QB at the helm who can sling the rock around.

Watching the game I saw something the Browns don't do or are incapable of doing
and I think that is on the QB more than the receivers and that is as you said
throw the ball down the field. Stafford make some great throws. Of course he has
Calvin Johnson but what an arm! Drew Brees does not have a great arm but from what
I saw yesterday and all season his arm strength is greatly underrated.McCoy cannot
make those throws and as anyone can plainly see we don't have a Calvin Johnson on this
team.
I think the Browns should take a run at Flynn if they think he is the man.It will
only cost money of which Lerner has a ton. Keep your first two picks in the first
round.BTW from what I have read Blackmon is rated nowhere near where A J Green or
even Julio Jones were last year so do you really want to spend a top four pick on
him?

i didn't watch a lot of that game but why i thought the bengals lost is that dalton was pressured all day long and he threw up some ducks after being chased around and he has a good arm and a no. 1 receiver.
that game me just another reason to draft OL.

3 of the 4 teams in the AFC North have made it to the playoffs.
3 of the 4 teams have a great Defense.
3 of the 4 teams have a great WR.
3 of the 4 teams have a reliable and proven RB.
3 of the 4 teams have a QB who can do well in the Erie winds.
With so many needs, I think we know what we need to do. I'm sure we will all disagree with who we need to take @ no 1, but hopefully we all agree with the fact that these are our needs that we need to upgrade.

If we draft a O-lineman with our first pick this board will explode LOL

NO QB IN THE 1ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, unless we trade down maybe 10 slots.
We won't get the top OL player, and none of the others are worth the #4 pick. At least there the value to pick ratio is about right.
I don't have RGIII as a top 4 player. In order, I have
Luck
Kalil(sp)
Clayborne
Blackmon
As long as we get one of them, I am good.
I will be OK if we draft RGIII, but i don't consider him as much a sure thing as the above four players.
