  • i know we got a diehard saints fan who is a member of the forum...

    BUT (sorry cantonlegend) i like a good defense. hence i like the niners in this game.

    i'm not much of a gambler and i'm not as good at picking winners as some on this board BUT give me smash mouth football anyday over run and gun. F the new era of football. you see these guys getting their noggins cracked?

  • watching game at home. bored. trying to save my gullet for the party tomorrow which is the giants vs. packers game...going out to support the locals' team and get blasted.

    i'm just gonna ramble thoughts in this thread while watching this game.

    one thing already i see......can the browns please draft DEFENSE???

    WR, OL and RB we can grab starting after LB and DE and CB.

    no, don't get me wrong, if blackmon is there at 4 take him. but i wouldn't be pissed if we traded down and got another couple of picks if some team wants the number four that bad.

    if we could get a monster LB and another DE to bookend sheard and another CB to bookend haden, we are there on that side of the ball. then get mccoy some weapons and protection and if he still blows, draft QB with first pick the next year.

    what is the prototypical WR nowadays? you got WRs like colston and megatron tall...then you got small guys that fly like desean jackson and victor cruz. i mean is drafting these guys just like rolling dice?

  • couple of REALLY bad calls by the refs in the first half that went the saints way. bad pass interference call and that 'so-called' forward pass at the end of the half.

    other than that it's a lot closer than most people thought.

  • Im surprised the Saints didnt go for a field goal to tie things up towards the end of the half.

  • I guess now SAints fans know what it feels like to be a cowboys fans with Brees doing things Tony Romo style.

    Colston and MEgatron are the type that I want. Tall and physical. It cant be taught.

    Thoughts on RB's though ? Are shorter running backs better suited to todays game than taller ones ?

    man, you got me. on one hand you got guys like gore and rice who are hard to see then you got foster and forte who are a little bigger, then another notch up there are guys like lynch, jacobs and our own hillis.

    if we could keep hillis and get someone like the kid from oregon (a speedy sproles type) i'd be happy.
