    So,

it's probably only a couple weeks away before we know if Hillis is going to stay or go.

I'm a really hoping that he stays. Yes, he has a few issues, but when he is at his best he is a force to be reckoned with. On a business first decision it's probably best to keep the boy and forgoe a first round RB this year. When we really needed those yards on 3rd or 4th down he really gave us a good option. Trent and him are of a similar mold. Though Trent is a LOT more agile and has that quicker step. But if both ran at each other from 10 yars away my money would be on Hillis running over Trent...plus because of this disaster of a year we could probably lock him up cheap for 3-5 for a 1/3 the price we would have to pay for Richardson. This is also one of the deepest drafts when it comes to RB as well...even with Montee staying home for another year...jeez this draft is loaded and there will proably be some NFL starters easily into the 3rd and 4th rounds.

If we happen to tell Hillis's agent that we aren't interested anymore then I have a feeling we will pick up Trent.

Hopefully, we will keep him and just say listen you are going to be our fullback next year and lock him up for 5 years. He is a good blocker, has good hands, runs good routes and is a bulldozer...he just can't stay on hi feet for more than 8 yards and is way to slow and not quick enough for what we need in a true running back.

If he says no, I still think we have a real good chance picking him back up because I can't see any team really going after him. I think he really enjoys playing here anyway.

we shall see what goes on pretty soon i'm guessing...but I think Cincy will trade up and get the 4th pick and take Trent...we will get the 17th pick, their 2nd round pick plus next years 1st...which probably will be 25+ We could almost completely fill out ALL of our needs leaving 1QB for next year.

I also think that Heckert may also trade back into the first with a combination of 2nd and third round picks next from 2013, 2015 & 2017. This really is a pretty strong class...and a few players that will go in the first that Heckert really likes. I could see us with 3 or 4 possible 1st round picks this year.

Id like to see him back but if he's not then, eh, who cares. I don't think anyone else will pick him up for much though.

Early man walked away as modern man took control. Their minds weren't all the same and to conquer was their goal. So He built his great empires and he slaughtered his own kind, and he died a confused man and killed himself in his own mind...

adding a change of pace RB to the fold along with hillis is what the browns need. hardesty was supposed to be that but his health issues have made him a non-factor. if we can get one of our rookies we have step up....great, if not, grab a speedy little guy in the later rounds.

hope we don't waste a first round pick on one though.

He really did himself a disservice to himself with his performance this past year. The unwillingness to play made him look like a one hit wonder with a real sense of entitlement. He wasn't happy with his current roll he really wouldnt like a move to fullback for sure.

A contract with performance incentives is the way to go. If he performs like a pro bowler he should get paid like one.

Agreed, I think EVERY NFL contract should be based on incentives. I think this would up the competition level on every team in the NFL.
