Man- I do so love these Cleveland Browns,
even though they bring me frowns.
They bring me down and yet lift me up,
they bust my balls, smile and pinch my rump.
How many times I've lost my voice,
screaming at the television of my choice.
From sportsbar to backroom I've watched and knew,
that somehow, someway I've cheered to soon.
Flying through my livingroom handing out high fives,
pumping my fist and barking like a mad canine.
Suddenly a sinking feeling in the innards of mine,
"holding penalty replay first down at the nine".
Jaw dropped dejected I refrain to my couch,
as I bit my lip so hard I say "ouch"...
An hour an a half later I'm on the edge of my seat,
if we could come back and win it'd be sweet!
Somehow with all that's gone wrong in course of this game,
we still have a chance, the "Kardiack Kids" are the name.
I'm sweating, my blood pressure is high,
I down my budlight in one chug with a sigh.
Then I light up a smoke for my nerves,
as heart jumps in more ways than are words that are verbs.
Everyone around me is nibbling their nails,
forget pins and needles... this is lava and hail.
Just as the other team was thinking they won,
The Cleveland Browns refused to be done!
"He rolls right, he has time and he throws!",
the whole world's froze as the ball flows in slow mo as it goes...
...For a TOUCHDOWN!!! THE BROWNS WIN!!! THE BROWNS WIN!!!
And then I realize I can't wait until next weekend to do this again...
No matter what happens or how many games we will lose,
I'm a Browns fan, thick or thin, thru and through.
You could say that we're crazy- that it's no way to live,
to stay with a team that gets back more than it gives.
I'd tell you that this team is not for everyone,
BUT, if you've never tried it you've gotta get you some.

We've been down, we've been kicked, we've been mocked even hit,
we've been fighting like dogs in the pit of Mike Vick.
So long it seems- that we've turned on each other,
here are some reason to stay positive my brother:
Cleveland is the best baby, Hillis' hits make linebacker hazy,
as sure as Cribbs runs like he's on fire- it's crazy.
On the real though- the Browns never give up, it doesn't matter,
we're building, getting tougher- while they're gettin older and fatter.
Cleveland is on the upswing while the rest in decline,
we're getting stronger, faster, more cut and defined,
we're taking the haters and blowin' out the backs of their minds,
Heckert's minin' through diamonds findin' us surprisin' Franchisin' Hawaiians.
Whatever happen come April, with whomever we pick,
you can bet your left testicle he'll be ALL-ROOKIE and "sick".
Cause in case you ain't noticed, in case you can't "see",
Cleveland is back baby- honest, believe you in me...

Lost in this lost world, looking for the cure,
...the cure for the death of all that is pure.
Sometimes I don't know what I've said, my head's full of dread,
these thoughts only dissipate at days end in my bed.
Writing out of necessity, not really a want...
"What's your next move? What have you got?"
...I've got not a plan... just a play with no plot...
Deep breath, relax and repeat,
what are these words if they have no beat?
It's a chair with no seat, lessons that don't teach.
Reach... for you're at the tip of the peak but don't blink,
dig deep and remember to think, you're on the brink of impossible things.
Destiny is right 'round the corner... nevermind that it's storming,
that's not the thunder your hear... it's the two minute warning!
So let us prepare... the first lightning strikes here,
battle like a warrior that harbors no fear!
There is a light on the horizon coming to view,
along with a feeling that I never knew,
The moment of truth...

These rappers make me shudder, I say oh my lord.
I'm the best rhymer on this damn browns board.
There's always next year, we gotta wait and see.
All the hoes wantin me like Cleveland wants rg3.
Blunders this season on the lake Erie shore.
Hiring a guy whose never been head coach before.
With a real bad gamePlan, not to be strict.
Calling fuckin plays Stevie wonder could predict.
And sadly no joy found in colt McCoy
But Harrison destroyed that poor little old boy
Right at the television always shake my fist.
Cause we lost about as many games as Peyton hillis missed
It sucks many balls, when joe Haden falls
And our running backs suck hardesty hardly crawls.
Cribbs and massaqoui hardly ever cleared
Bens ankle at least feared rubin and
Jabaal sheard.
Other people just don't understand
How it really is being a browns fan
The year is now over I now have a reason
To not get pissed off, at least til next season

Poetic i admire that you're trying to write and its a start. However, the more you write the better you'll get. Heres some advice try not to be so rhymey dimey, ever other word doesnt have to end with the same sound like rack, flack, jack, mack. Some of the best poetry doesnt even rhyme at all, check out Walt Whitman one of my favs. Anyway, keep it up and dont pigeon hole yourself in the same style. Read some different poets and try to use the ones you like. just my two cents, but what do i know ive only written hundreds of songs.
