I have somewhat high hopes for TE, Jordan Cameron. He had impressive numbers at the combine and such but it felt like Evan Moore kinda took away any attention from Cameron.

I also think there is something to look forward to with Jabaal Sheard (I think most would agree on him).

    You have anyone different?

I think playing rookies last year will pay off big time.

Jason Pinkston started 16 games at guard, the Browns have to be thrilled with that. Ideal size, durability, good college career, and now 16 starts under his belt. Great 5th round pick.

The Fullback, Marecic, has 16 games as a starter and now he gets an off-season to apply what he learned and make himself a better football player. I think he'll be better conditioned, more in tune with a pro offense this year.

I really like the future of Eric Hagg, as a safety or nickel back. He's got good size and smarts and should compete for a starting safety job.

Finally, Buster Skrine has blazing speed, and didn't look lost out there. I think he'll be in our corner rotation for some time.

Between Cameron, and these four guys, I think we found a little treasure chest of surprises in last year's draft.

I like your optimism Zombo, unfortunately I don't share your sentiments on some of our guys.

I'm not sold on Marecic, but I guess one more year of him as a starter can't hurt. He actually looks like he loves playing in Cleveland which is fresh.

Cameron is uber-talented, Shurmur and co. really need to let this kid loose, he honestly looks like he could be special in 2-3 years on the field. He just needs to work on his blocking.

I haven't seen enough of Buster Skrine, but when I have, I see a guy who's either on the team, or cut altogether. Saw some glimpses of starter-potential, but he got beat far too often when he was seeing action. He looked like he got bullied at times. But we'll see how he pans out.

I do love Hagg though, he honestly looks like he could be one of the steals in the draft. He, Sheard and Taylor are going to be great players on this Browns squad for years to come. We just need to keep building with these smart late-round picks to wrok our way up.

I am excited to see if Cameron can make the year two jump like his identical counter part Jimmy Grahm did this season. I am excited for Mitchels 3rd season, because this is his fly or die season. If he doesn't get it started he hits the road. I am of course excited to see how the rookies Sheard, Taylor, and Little progress going into year 2 and I am also excited to see Rubin have another pro bowl caliber season... but actually get to go to the pro bowl.

I liked Dimitri Patterson. I think he played pretty well and seemed to get better the more he played. He's been in the league for a few years now, but he came from a small school (tuskegee) so he really wasn't all that NFL ready coming in to the league.

!!!!hopefully i'll be alive when it happens!!!!

He made some big-ish plays towards the end of the season. I like his heart if nothing else (same for Skrine).

Patterson though is really only good in the nickle spot. If you put him on the outside he doesn't do well. Skrine did a much better job than Patterson on the outside last season.

I'm excited about a number of players.

Jordan Cameron is one I believe will be a K2 clone if given the playing time and coaching he needs. Keeping him on the sidelines while playing Alex Smith, who won't even be on the team next year was a boneheaded move by Shurmur. You gotta build the kid.

Colt McCoy- I can't wait to see what the kid can do with an established offense and an offseason to digest it in. I think Colt is really gonna grow this year and many will be shocked about his arm strength and accuracy once these darm Wideouts do their jobs.

Peyton Hillis. Regardless of whether you think he'll be gone or not, as of right now, to me, he's a Brown. I think that Peyton can continue to build on what he did last year if given another chance. He started to come on late as the "Madden curse" began to fade toward the end of the year. Too much speculation and people reading into his every move last year really got to the hometown lil' country boy. He's been through the ringer this last year, getting married and getting "grounded" may have been the best thing for the kid. Seems like a great guy and I'm excited to see what's next from him.

Owen Marecic. Though I had hard feeling toward the kid cause he's no Vickers, he's starting to grow on me. He's smaller and took a beating last year. I hope he develops that "mean streak" that FBs need at this level and he completely looses it next year. I wish him the best of luck bulking up and I hope he comes to camp looking at least more like LV on the outside and then stokes that inner fire on the inside. Excited about seeing what this kid can be if he sets his mind to it. Come on Owen, get mean boy!

Marcus Benard- I think a lot of you have forgotten he's still on the team. Some act like he died in that accident. I think Marcus has the tools and the commitment to be that guy opposite Sheard that we all so desperately crave. I think he can do it and I don't think we've seen his full potential yet, I'm excited about that.

I'm also excited or will be excited to see Sheldon Browns career changing move to safety. I think that is his best bet and best career decision available to him. He's not old yet, but he has lost a step and it's imperative to move him back and I think he'll thrive at that position. The Wide Receivers are just to fast and good for him to continue to preform at a high level against with him entering the twilight part of his career. I think at FS it would allow for him to make more plays and use his veteran knowledge to help out our young secondary. Which also leads me to Ward. T.J. Ward seemed gone all season, we wasn't as much a factor as he was last year. Hampered by injuries and appearing a little gun shy, I expect him to return to form and preform like the TJ we all know and love next season.

Certainly there is excitement to be had for Browns Fans if we just know where to look! 😎

I expect Jordan Cameron to get a much bigger load on offense next year. He will line up for running blocking more often and because of that could get a decent amount of catches on play action and maybe a few touchdowns. Eric Hagg should push Mike Adams for the starting spot and may split time throughout the season. Buster Skrine should also push Sheldon Brown for the starting spot and also should split some time. Sheard/Taylor I would expect improvement from and solid all around play. Owen Marecic, probably the biggest question mark, I would bet will have the best increase in performance from last year. I expect him to get healthy and really learn how to play the position in this offense over the off season. If the Browns add a true deep threat at receiver and they get good offensive production from the tight ends then I would expect Little to have a big season on catch the intermediate passes over the middle.

Totally agree, & that's not mentioning Phil Taylor. While they are not players, you HAVE to also look at having Jauron, Rhodes, & Childress (all former successful NFL Head & Asst Coaches) directing these young players & helping a young Head Coach as something that is exciting.

                        Lets see

Jordan Cameron- Guy does nothing for me. Mitchell and Cameron are great Ben Gay of 2012

Colt Mccoy- Yes I too am pumped up to see Colt play next year.....In the CFL, He sucks move on

Hillis- Again I am pumped to see him play as well....In St. Louis

                        Owen Marecic-Sucks move on

                        Marcus Benard-Sucks move on

Sheldon Brown- We will be a great Coach for the Satellite High Scorpions

I just do not know How you get pumped about these players...Really...you couldnt pick Little,Ward,Haden,Sheard, Taylor, Thomas, Mack, DQ??? Instead you get pumped about 5 out of 6 guys who have a shot not being on the team next yr

I'd like to see more of Jordan Norwood. Seems like everytime he was on the field he was targeted for positive yards. We don't have a lot of options at WR, but he seemed to be consistent in actually catching the ball unlike our other WR's.

greg little. he's needs to step up.

IMO sheard and taylor already proved themselves.

the other guys mentioned (rookies) either show something this year or are gone.

Why would we be pumped about guys like Joe Thomas, Alex Mack, Joe Haden and TJ Ward? We already know what to expect from them. Quit nitpicking, the thread is about pbscure players we FEEL could have an impact next year. Feeling like a jackass? Move on.

I liked Norwood and sheard, i thought they played surprisingly well, especially norwood. For some reason i just feel evan moore could be a gronkowski type player if given the chance to start. Good hands, big, can run and seems to get open. Needs to work on his run blocking though.
