gotta admit...its a bit of a head scratcher taking blackmon with RGIII on the board. its certainly different than most mocks...which is always a plus imo.

I guess I'm just not sure why everyone assumes St. Louis will trade the 2nd pick. So there are 4 teams I can see interested for RGIII (Browns, Washington, Miami, and Seattle). Matt Flynn and Peyton Manning will both likely be with another team (maybe one of those 4) before the draft, and Kevin Kolb may go somewhere, depending how things unfold in Arizona. So on draft day, lets conservatively say that one of those teams has established a FA QB, that leaves 3 teams. I dont think we'll trade up (not H&H's usual strategy, we might decide on Colt for another year, or decide that we dont want to give up more picks for an unknown in RGIII). If we arent interested, he will fall to Washington or Miami. They could either be set at QB thru FA, or decide to take the risk and wait and see if he falls, or, like us, decide RGIII is not worth 2 first round picks...

Plus St. Louis might say Kalil is their guy and just pick him because he def wont be around at 6...

My thought is that it is a 50-50 shot someone trades up to #2, but to say it is a given is absurd (like this mock, and a lot of other people are saying)..

Interesting that's for sure. It's just so hard to say this far out though. despite it being far out however, I see it as a 0% chance RGIII falls out of the top 5. Whether that means we draft him at 4 or we or the Rams/Vikes/Bucs trade out of their pick, it's up in air. But the RGIII bandwagon is way too high and he won't fall as of today.

Im also surprized by the RG3 pass but i dont think it will happen if hes there at 4,if he falls to us i believe we will draft him but im not sure we would trade up for him....Im not a big Andre Branch fan but i still like your Anayalsis and your draft is very good....Just not crazy about the Browns picks

What do you guys think about taking Justin Blackmon at 4 and then drafting Kendall Wright at 22? That would give us 3 really good targets to truly evaluate what we have in Colt. I think that with that kind of talent at WR Colt could potentially be in the ProBowl next season.

              WR1- BLACKMON

              WR2- LITTLE

              WR3- WRIGHT

              WR4- CRIBBS

              WR5- MOMASS

              WR6- MITCHELL

              WR7- NORWOOD

We would still have to address RT sometime in the draft or free agency but I'd really like the Browns to take a real good look at Chase Minnifield early in round two if he's still available.

Like it, but if RGII falls to #4 he goes no farther- taking him over Blackmon at this point is a no brainer. The Browns can pick up a decent wr with the #22 pick.

And if the Browns don't want him, assuming the Deadskins do, we trade down to #6, and take their second rounder in the process. 🙂

I read your RGIII breakdown only left to wonder why would the Browns and four other teams pass that up.
