What Is The Rg3 Version Of Tebowmania Called?

The Browns Board

  • i was thinking dreadheads, but it leaves out the fanatacism.

    anyone got something decent?

cuz you know if we draft him it'll be the same thing in cleveland as it was in denver last year. peer pressure from the fans making the FO make a decision they probably wouldn't want to make.

  • Zombo said:

If they draft him ... why would they feel fan pressure to play him? If they draft him, they would do so with every intent of playing him.

Tebow was not drafted by those guys in Denver, he was the work of Josh McDonald.

    Zombo

without knowing the system? what would they do with mccoy instantly make him a backup or let him play til he gets killed and then put him in?

let's just get back to the question. you wouldn't think the media and the fans would go bonkers over the kid if he came in after a couple of starts and won six in a row? there would have to be some headline with some catch phrase. guess i'll leave it to the copywriters.

    mcdaniels btw.

  • That's the thing, if Colt is as good as some fans make him out to be, Browns should have no trouble getting a mid level draft pick for someone with so much untapped potential.

Oh wait... only Browns fans think Colt has franchise quarterback potential.

You'd be surprised what some teams will do for a QB. Remember the Broncos gave the Browns two 6th rounders and Hillis for Quinn. But McCoy will finish out his contract with the Browns whether it is on the field or on the bench. H and H said they want 4 QBs competing for the starting job this year anyway.

And if you would actually read and comprehend most comments on this board, you would realize most fans either think McCoy sucks or that he is just a serviceable starter for another year while the Browns rebuild their supporting cast on offense. Can you at least agree that the whole Browns offense sucked and not just the QB play? No QB, your savior included, could work with the WRs, RBs, and right side of the oline we had last year and have any success.

  • Tim couch out up more points with less talent around him. mccoy is trash.

You are a total homer for RGIII and an absolute idiot just looking to stir up controversy on these boards. You are like the poor mans queen ghoolie ... like princess ghoolie.

You are making it like Browns fans think McCoy is a sure thing like you think RGIII is. No one thinks that. What we think is we have a shitload of other problems that it doesn't pay to trade multiple picks to get him, because it would prevent us from filling those other holes while at the same time just surrounding RGIII with the same shit McCoy had around him. Instead of doing that some people would rather see them continue to build on the foundation they have been laying and giving Colt another year to develop and get a better feel for where he is headed. Worst case scenario if McCoy sucks this year there will always be another new sexy QB prospect out there to draft next year. The difference next year will hopefully be the new QB (if it comes to that) will have better protection and better targets to throw too.

you have turned out to be nothing but a pro RG3 fag with nothing in between. say we draft claiborne and then burflict or the DE sitting there you would scratch and cry because you didn't get your way?

what if they pick all these perfect fits for our positional weaknesses and end up picking a qb in the later rounds just to see what he can do potentionally.....who knows....anything. and you'd disagree with that after we just upgraded our defense to a top 5-10 defense, added weapons for whoever will be the qb. you'd hate that?

you sir are nothing but a rg3 homer. and won't listen to any other discussion about how to build this team.

you're vision of building the browns is drafting RG3 and that's it. DF.

Tim Couch was a #1 pick and McCoy was a third rounder. You would expect he could be more productive, wouldn't you?

Care to try and dig up a post where anyone said "Franchise Quarterback" and "Colt McCoy" in the same sentence? FWIW, my .02 is McCoy was drafted in the third round, and in 2011 played like a slightly better version of Charlie Frye. Now is that because McCoy inherently sucks? (Jason J & quite a few others on this board think so) There is another sizable contingent here that has a very valid point- the Browns offense sucked so badly, RT Pashos was hurt, and when he actually did play resembled a turnstile- Lavaou at RG wasn't much better, Greg Little was the only wr the Browns had that would have had a prayer of being the third WR on a good team- that is when he wasn't dropping passes at a league leading clip. Hillis was ill or hurt 1\2 the year, removing any threat of a running game. To top it all off Head Coach Un-shurmur called a game plan most Pop Warner guys could do a better job at. Could Griffin have come into that mess and done a much better job? In all honesty, I doubt it.

OTOH, you're about putting RGIII in the Hall of Fame before he's even taken a snap in the NFL.

So please take a chill pill already- the draft is two months away- a lot can happen in the meantime. No one on this board is going to be sitting in the Browns War Room the end of April calling the shots- so just hope whoever Cleveland takes has a HOF career- and if it's your guy RGIII we'll all be very happy.

  • I see no one has offered an answer to the original request. What would you call the Beatlemania of RGIII.

    How about "RGIII for all".

Or how about like a rock band: the "Robert Griffith the Third and the Turds"

    Or "RGIII's Company"

    Or "The Griffithdores"

    Or RGIII and the M.Gs.

    Or "RGIII to Get Readys"

    Or "The RoG Rats"

    Whatever

  • RGIII and out!!!!

LOL... and what happens to his screenname right after we do not draft RG?

    Not bad...

For sure we'd see "Welcome to 3veland" signs... and that's reason enough to trade down... 😎

  • RgIII's company for the win.

  • Zombo said:

Good point, Tourma, don't name yourself after a current player. Especially one we haven't drafted yet.

Last year I had a couple Hillis's request name changes, this season it cold be the Colts.

In Savage We Trust ... Frye Guy ... The Kentucky Rifle ... they don't post much any more.

I don't think this RG3 guy makes it to the draft with his name intact because he's already on my nerves even though we are in the same camp. He's gaying up Camp Griffin.

    Z

Man how could we ever forget Lumbergh and his love affair with Anderson?

I am pretty sure if RGIII isn't a Brown we never hear from this clown again. And to be honest ... it's another reason I will be fine with the Browns not drafting RGIII.

He is obviously a RGIII and not a Browns fan.
