Like I said, give me a 2nd.....that assumed a swap of #1 picks.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

This is irrelevant to your post but pertains to your mock draft. Jordan Jefferson was ranked DEAD LAST among ALL prospects that attended the combine and you want to draft him in the 5th. Why do you even want him on the team let alone using a draft pick on him? Second, Hill won't make it to the third round and Branch is like a 4th round prospect. That is all.

Ill give you the 4 for the 6, a first in 2013, and a first in 2014. Or give me Bradford, Amendola, and the 6 this year for Colt and the 4. Anything less then that and you can suck my left nut. The trade itself doesn't really bug me, its the PR side of it. Our FO looks like a complete joke for not willing to throw in an extra 2nd and we pretty much killed any confidence (if there is any left) Colt might still have. If the Rams didn't burn that bridge I don't know what will. If H&H trade the 4 to the Rams for anything less then I'm joining team Ghoolie.

As far as Barkely goes I'm sure we'll end up with the pick right after the one that Barkley is taken with.

I'm not believing anything Shefnter reports on what we offered. The last time he reported on the Browns he claimed Hillis was going to retire and join the CIA. The reason we didn't make the trade was because of two reasons. We were not willing to give up 3 first round picks and Heckert isn't so dumb that he makes a draft day trade so he can draft a player that he hasn't seen at pro day and private work outs yet. Only an idiot makes that kind of trade before completely evaluating a player. Idiot, the name is Redskins.

Well yes some of that is rumor being put out by others. St Louis Dispatch reported today we offered just as much as the Skins which would make our offer better. If this is to be believed, the trade was done with the Skins because Fisher and Shanahan are pals, which isn't in the best interest of the Rams.

I'd say he has the biggest arm in the draft and 2nd in athleticism to RG3. He's 6'5" 220 in a Cam Newton mold.

No doubt he's a project, but there's franchise QB upside. I think hes worthy of a 5th rd. pick

Jury's out on Hill, I don't think Combine numbers are gonna make anybody move him up 5 rounds on their chart.

Most people have Branch going late 1 early 2. He has much better number's than Couples who's projected top ten and they play in the same division. I'd rank Branch the #1 rated 4-3 DE.

The Rams dont covet Blackmon, just some fans do like me lol.

Blackmon is without a doubt the top WR in this draft. Besides Amendola who does Bradford have to throw to? Clayton who can't stay off IR? (I feel awful for him. He had some nice chemistry with Bradford the few times he was actually on the field.) Lloyd doesn't seem too pumped to come back. Sims-Walker was a flop. Gibson is decent at best. I was expecting Salas to play a bigger role. I've seen quite a bit of the Rams and they lack weapons. I highly doubt you go with a tackle early considering the money y'all currently have tied up in the position. Smith is on the roster at least until next year. You can go secondary but considering the investment in Bradford it seems pretty logical to get him a big time playmaker. Y'all did have some ridiculous injuries though. If you can keep Fletcher and Bartell healthy you have a decent secondary. Plus its not like your facing offensive juggernauts in your division. Kolb, Tarvaris, and Alex Smith are really keeping any d coordinators up at night. Now if Manning goes out west then secondary becomes a bit more important.

On a little side bar, does Jackson annoy the shit out of you like he does to my uncles? When I was living up there that little stutter step thing he does when he gets the ball irked the living hell out of them. I know its just his style but it seems like he's always half assing it.

Jesus I hope not. I don't know how anyone can justify taking a RB that high. He's not in Adrian Peterson's leauge and AP went 7th overall. Im still holding out hope we resign Hillis and pick up a fast, or at least competent RB later in the draft. With that said it is completely possible H&H go with Trent at 4 or they trade down and pick him up a few picks later. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. To sum it up I have no earthly idea where we're going with this draft.

Accuracy is the easiest attribute to improve in a QB. It come's with footwork and basic fundamentals repeated over and over and over again. You have to see if he's willing to put in the work, if he wants to be great, if he has the attitude to lead a team. But size, athleticism and arm strength are uncoachable, and he has them in mass amounts.

We're talking a 5th rd. pick, he's gonna have kinks that need to be worked out, if he didn't we be talking about him with the 4th pick.

Terrell Pryor was a 3rd round pick and doesn't posses nearly the passing ability Jordan does.

"Accuracy is the easiest attribute to improve in a quarterback?" Uh... I don't know how long you've been working with quarterbacks, but I couldn't disagree with you more.

I agree with your follow up - that accuracy is based in footwork and proper mechanics - but generally speaking it's very difficult to tighten up accuracy at this level. Lack of accuracy in young players is usually rooted in inconsistent mechanics. But once players get out of college... It's bad mechanics. And no one gets better mechanically by speeding up... And that's what the NFL does to them. Add to that you have unlearn bad mechanics. Then you speed him up, and they all come back.

I'd much rather teach a college quarterback timing and decision-making. If a guys 20 something years old and he can't throw the ball where he intends to, I'd rather teach him to play tight end.

I respect your opinion but I totally disagree with it. But hey, I'm no NFL QB guru, maybe you are. If so I'd probably lean more to your side.

Decision making, reading defenses and such is more mental and not everybody can be taught to comprehend it. Footwork and mechanics can be taught to a 5 year old and perfected over time with reps.

Hello Browns fans, I am a fellow Rams fan just coming here to seek your opinion.

We all know by now the Redskins decided to give my Rams a bounty of picks to move up to #2.

My question to all of you is who do you want to draft at #4, or who do you think the FO will draft at #4.

I really really really really hope Blackmon falls to #6 and the Rams draft him. But i believe the Browns have high interest in him.

Any insight or opinions given on the subject of who you plan/wish to take at #4 would be great.

p.s. Think you guys will be in good/bad enough position to get Barkley next year? After reading some of your threads it appears you are not to high on Colt(i wouldnt be either if i was you).

I think our FO looks brilliant...or at least they are luck....for not having to give up the farm for the Rams pick.

As for Barkley....you already have a better version of Barkley playing for you right now: Colt McCoy. Barkley if the same height and weight as McCoy. But McCoy actually has the stronger arm, and is more mobile.

I would prefer Charles Barkley over Matt Barkley. At least Chuck could maybe play the OL.
