We Are The 3%

The Three Percent in 1775.
During the American Revolution, the active forces in the field against the King's tyranny never amounted to more than 3% of the colonists. They were in turn actively supported by perhaps 10% of the population. In addition to these revolutionaries were perhaps another 20% who favored their cause but did little or nothing to support it. Another one-third of the population sided with the King (by the end of the war there were actually more Americans fighting FOR the King than there were in the field against him) and the final third took no side, blew with the wind and took what came.
I have always taken note that if it only takes 3% of the population to overthrow or make changes to government. Which 3% will change our form of government? And which 3% will you represent? The 3% that will wanta dominant marxist rule over all or the 3% that want freedom from government tyranny.

and it takes a lot more than 3%
You also need (according to your "historic article"):
-10% or more of the population actively supporting you
-53% or more of the population that at least don't disagree with your cause
-The "tyrannical govt." you're fighting be based across an ocean in a time were the only means of transportation were boats and horses
-The support of another large nation (France) especially in naval operations.
So yeah, a bunch of pissed of Tea Party members could totally overthrow Obama...

That really didn't have anything to do with what I just said...
... but if you are asking me what side I would "join" that's pretty easy. As an engineer/soon-to-be-engineer I feel like I should use my common sense and intelligence when deciding what side to join. That means joining the side that DOESN'T think the world is ending, or that thinks Satan wants vengeance, or that thinks Obama is evil and trying to take their freedom...
I'll join the normal, rational, common sense side. So not your side. Sorry
