Browns Sign Their Own

The Browns Board

  • The Browns have made a few moves, all retaining their own players:

John Greco, Brian Schaefering, and Jordan Norwood have been retained...for what that's worth.

And what its worth is that these guys are backups on a mediocre team.

Also, as mentioned, Garcon is going to DC, and it is reported that Vincent Jackson will likely sign with Tampa Bay.

Mario Manningham stated that he has no interest in Cleveland, because Cleveland is not an attractive destination for free agents.

What I read into this is that Manningham, whom I believe to be from this area, is simply pissed because, in fact, the Browns said "we have no interest in you".

And, sorry, I don't see necessarily that Manningham is any better than Jordan Norwood. He was simply in the right place at the right time to get a ring.

  • Are we atleast calling anyone to visit us, if not sign? I heard that the only thing to visit the Browns during the offseason were two raccoons searching for food in the dumpster !

  • I heard that both racoons got staph. 😉

  • CHAMPIONSHIP!

  • Norwood made some good catches last year... Might be a sleeper this year.

Good for Norwood, he worked his way up the depth chart last year because he seemed to have a gift most lacked ... the ability to catch passes.

    Zombo

He didn't work his way up, everyone else fell below him

  • Alex Smith re-signed too............................SUPERBOWL BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Get rid of fucking Alex Smith. He's just ruining the progression of Evan Moore and Jordan Cameron.

  • Zombo said:

    True, lol.

And Alex Smith guy: he's just a blocking TE, every team has one, if he's "ruining the progression" of anyone, then they just suck cause ... he's just the blocking TE.

    Z

You know what a "blocking TE" is?

A guy who's too shitty to be a tight end, and too skinny to be a lineman.

In other words, a waste of a roster spot.

I wouldn't be so sure of that....... this kid is the hardest worker we have. If we let him be the #3 slot guy, he could really become a nice receiver for us. He sure as hell is better than Massosuck
