We're building for the future. They believe he's a good coaching prospect and want to get him hitched on the Lamonte train.

    more stats

Always like to see em a bit younger. Seems to have a nose for the ball. Double digit season sack total would be nice payoff.

Looks like he has been close before (8 sacks). Hope he works out.

"Browns make another move along defensive line, reaching agreement with Juqua Parker on a 1-year, $3 million deal."

Sounds like a solid signee to me.

    Thoughts?

i don't know if they're getting the right players, but they are definately spending $ in an area of need.

It's only a one year deal, doesn't look like anything is really guaranteed. If he doesn't cut it, the by by before the season starts. We need depth at the position, Mitchel isn't it, so we might as well pick up this guy for a season.

AND he's a former eagle. hmmmmmmmmm.

any help at this point is good in my eyes. looks like we won't be drafting any DEs this year.

looks like we're going the same route as what the bengals do, have a rotation of DE's to keep them fresh. Parkers a solid player and its just a 1 year deal. This is the best move that they've made so far, not earth shattering but very solid. We'll see a rotation of Rucker and Parker. This also points out that we probable wont draft a DE high. All signs point to us going offense early and often in this draft. Perhaps Linebacker as well maybe we'll get luke kuechly for our late first or our 2nd.

Fine by me. Still need a damn Linebacker though.

Ding ding ding... rotation it is.

However, I still see us drafting Ingram mid-1st round... No way does this signing preclude that.

My friend is an Eagles fan, so I asked him about this guy. He said he was good so I was pretty excited about it until I found out he was 33. Then I stopped giving shit.

its only a 1 year deal, and he'll certainly help. if anything, he's been fairly consistent over the years. this gives us a rotation to use while we groom a guy for later...

as said, looks like theyre gearing to use all but maybe 2 lower round picks on offense.
