-
Here is this week's Survey...in honor of St. Patrick's Day tomorrow. Give your info or opinion:
1. What percentage, if any, Irish are you?
2. What are your plans for St. Paddy's day? (and, by the way, it IS St. Paddy's, not St. Patty's day.)
3. How are your Brackets going?
4. Do you think Holmgren and Heckerts plan of doing very little in FA, and relying on the draft is going to be successful?
5. The word "Whiskey" comes from the Irish "uisce beatha" which translates to "water of life". The monks in Ireland came up with this as they believed that what we call whiskey was the water of life.
What is your favorite "water of life" whether of not it is "uisce beatha", or not?
Here is this week's Survey...in honor of St. Patrick's Day tomorrow. Give your info or opinion:
1. What percentage, if any, Irish are you?
0%. I am 50% Israeli and 50% Romanian. I am the hebrew vampire!!!
2. What are your plans for St. Paddy's day? (and, by the way, it IS St. Paddy's, not St. Patty's day.)
I will be on a plane or at airports all day. Going to Ft. Myers, Florida for Spring Break.
3. How are your Brackets going?
Have only missed West Virginia. Everything else has been perfect. I am ecstatic.
4. Do you think Holmgren and Heckerts plan of doing very little in FA, and relying on the draft is going to be successful?
I do. I think Cleveland fans are always way too quick to jump the gun and thats why our constant regime changes happen and we never see success. All we need is patience and things will work itself out. Hopefully some people on this board can wake up to that.
5. The word "Whiskey" comes from the Irish "uisce beatha" which translates to "water of life". The monks in Ireland came up with this as they believed that what we call whiskey was the water of life.
What is your favorite "water of life" whether of not it is "uisce beatha", or not?
Guinness Draught is tough to beat. I love bourbon and bourbon flavored beer. Baily's is also excellent. My favorite hard drink though is a Bloody Mary. When made well, they are little tastes of heaven.

I guess I should give answers to my own survey:
1. What percentage, if any, Irish are you?
I actually have dual citizenship, Ireland and US because my mother was born in Ireland. Anyone whose parent was born there is automatically a citizen. All I would really need to do to confirm it more would be to apply for an Irish passport. I have had the application to do so for some time, but haven't gotten around to it.
That said, I am only half Irish and half Hillbilly, my dad being from Kentucky.
Though, lineage wise on his side I am probably mostly Scottish. The Gipper's were from Dumfries and Galloway.
2. What are your plans for St. Paddy's day? (and, by the way, it IS St. Paddy's, not St. Patty's day.)
I had no real plans starting out. I went out to breakfast but got kicked out because the restaurant had a fire in the kitchen. (Hell, I didn't even get a chance to pay my bill.) I had thought about going out, but instead I just stayed in an watched the tournament, plus I had bought the DVD of the first season of The Game of Thrones, so I was also watching that.
3. How are your Brackets going?
I didn't do any brackets, but I feel like a winner with all the Ohio teams still in it.
4. Do you think Holmgren and Heckerts plan of doing very little in FA, and relying on the draft is going to be successful?
Actually, yes, I know deep down in my soul these guys will bring a winner to the Browns via the draft.
5. The word "Whiskey" comes from the Irish "uisce beatha" which translates to "water of life". The monks in Ireland came up with this as they believed that what we call whiskey was the water of life.
What is your favorite "water of life" whether of not it is "uisce beatha", or not?
Actually, it is probably Coca Cola.
But at appropriate time, Guinness, Harps, and Jameson will do.

Kennel Club: "Brackets", bracketology refers to picking the winners of the games of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Its a big time deal here. One of the premier sporting events of the year....and a major gambling event.

And, by the way, isn't Kamac from Islay?
