I didn't make past 3 mins. First 30 seconds of nothing, than all the runs have 20 edits in them. You can't watch the guy make a run without seeing it in 5 different angles in 3 seconds... Ugh.. poor video to judge anyone by.

  • Sorry Brownskidd, there is a really awesome highlight video of TR that is like 9+ minutes long without any edits in it. It really showcases his talents and abilities. This one that I posted was more of a show video with edits and voiceovers kinda like the Cleveland Browns Believe Videos. I just found it and thought it was kinda cool and a little different. If you'd like to see the 9+ minute video just youtube "Trent Richardson Highlights 2011", it has a really good sound track to go along with it, it's not just video and people cheering! 😁

I'd post it again for you but I think I've already posted it in a few discussions sooo I don't think some of the haters would appreciate it... 😉

And by "haters" you mean "normal people who actually know shit about football and aren't fucking pussy fanboys who get boners over ESPN's new flavor of the week".

    Got it.

  • I'm not a fanboy of anyone. I like whoever makes the Browns better and helps us WIN FOOTBALL GAMES. Sorry if you can't see it but it's as plain as the nose on your face homeslice, Richardson is the smartest pick for the Browns. Blackmon is slightly above average but Richardson is ELITE. Got that? 😉

  • look I'm not gonna get into an argument about TR, but there's no way you use the argument of him running down corners and being in a run friendly offense as knocks on the dude. I could care the less about the truck stick highlights, and yea dude was in a run first offense but everyone knew he was coming in the best defensive college league in the NFL. hell, LSU was ranked 2nd in total defense, georgia third, florida 9th, penn state 10th, vandy 19th, tenn 28th, miss st 43rd. There's literally not much better sampling of what a guy can do against a tough, defense minded schedule.

I guess I really don't get why people think he's not good, and I don't even want to see him taken at four. He literally has all the tools you want in an elite guy and is coming off arguably the toughest defensive schedule in football.

  • @harry-buffalo said:

Ya that is literally all speculation. All they had to say it was because they had a gay relationship was that they used to be roommates. And regardless something like 5% of an NFL locker room is gay. Guarantee there is someone in the Browns locker room right now who is anyway.

Hey poetic why don't you show me the footage of him in the national championship game when he wasn't even the best RB on the Tide.

You mean the game where he was the leading rusher with 20 carries 96 yards and 1 TD while the second best rusher was E. Lacy for 11 carries and 43 yards. If your going to try and burn someone make sure your facts or correct before hand. You look like an idiot.

    @tim-couch-pulls-out said:

That's been the case for the past couple years. Same with Ingram and Richardson.

It proves it's a runningback friendly offense.

That plays in the toughest defensive league in the nation. Defenses that planned to stop the run. I would be more worried about him if he played in a pass friendly offense and got the same yards on half the carries.

    @cdl15 said:

oh boy look at him run over all those 170 pound corners and juke all those fifth year seniors from central alabama state.

Let the big boys handle this #4 pick. If they dont want claiborne then then take someones first next year to move back.

If you watch any of his highlights other than his long 50 yards runs you will see him fucking up literally everyone. DE, LB, S, it doesn't matter. He trucks them all.

Auh, I know shit about football. This guy is worth the 4th overall pick. I'm just defending my opinion in an actual augmentative way other than... "Ha good topic on Heckert, But fuck him if he doesn't draft this guy. Highlight, Highlight, Highlight.

People want us to take other guys later in the draft who they claim can do better. Miller is literally just faster. He doesn't have near the same amount of production and he played against weaker defenses in the ACC. The same goes for Wilson. While he had production last year, it was his only season of showing anything and like Miller he did it in the weak ACC. Then you have Martin. Looks like Rice but played much easier defenses while in a passing happy system. Meaning that these schools ranked #100 in defense were practicing for Moore, not Martin. That's why these guys fall the end of the 2nd and Richardson is considered Elite.

    Fact.

  • most of are not saying he's not good.

we're saying poeticG is a fucking pussy fanboy that has complete tunnel vision regarding the possible outcomes around TR's future. its fucking nauseating...

no where in his rants does even the possibility of TR struggling cross his mind, all his little brain can fathom is how TR is gonna dominate everyone at the NFL level. the majority of the angst is about PG...not TR. if PG would perhaps shut the fuck up about how fucking awesome TR is, and that he's the only logical choice at #4 (ironically because he's too stupid to see other choices), about how TR will truck the best linebackers and DT's in the game, and incessantly posting college HIGHLIGHT videos of TR beating up on future burger flippers.....if PG could do this.....we may be able to have an actual discussion about the guy.

the fucking thread could be about our defensive secondary, and this idiot will turn it into a fucking TR man-love knob-slobber-fest. again...the disdain isn't about TR.....its about his little boyfriend over here that continually turns his current player obsession into the focus of the board.

there was another spineless little know-it-all that once populated this, and several other boards. he used to tell us about all the great QB prospects coming out of USC....how much of a can't-miss prospect the pickle was, and how we had to take him in the first round. said poster got so fucking annoying he was driven to another board, which subsequently banned him permanently for turning their board into his personal blog. poeticG may be new, but he's the new shep....the new bitch....the new whooping boy....the new self-professed god of prognostication, and he's gonna make sure he posts the same fucking thing over, and over, and over, and over again.

    congrats PG.....

  • The end of the argument:

Richardson is one of about 3-4 players the Browns should consider with their top pick. The others are Blackmon, Claiborne, maybe Kalil if he drops, maybe Quinton Coples, maybe Melvin Ingram.

Anyone that puts forth an argument for the Browns taking any one of these players should not be disabused over his preference. I guarantee that the Browns brass is debating all of them as well.

I will take any one that helps the Browns improve. Heckert has said he is likely to go for offense...so don't be surpised if they take or trade down in order to pick up one of the defensive players.

    End of story.

  • Well it does get old... but then someone had to fill the void "RGIII to C-L-E" left... 🙄

My view of TR is that he looks like a series of muscle pulls waiting to happen. He just looks over developed to me. As soon as I heard his big ambition for the combine was to set a RB reps record, I said Uh-Oh... and then he didn't even lift. 😕

    There a difference between being developed, e.g., Adrian Peterson (6'1", 217, 4.40-40), and over-developed, TR (5'9", 228, 4.52-40).

And for all those that believe that he is going to "truck" the likes of Harrison and Ray-Ray (even as old as he is)... you'd better hope you're right because he won't be out running them.

Which raises an interesting question... How do you "truck" someone who is running you down?

I can agree with taking anyone who makes us better. But at this point "above average" is leaps and bounds above most of the talent on our roster, and adding multiple "above average" players will have a greater effect than one "elite" player.

Especially because I don't see Richarfson as "elite".

Agreed! RBs just get injured so much, esp when they are overly muscular (yes that is an issue) and lose flexibility.. He wont be able to break NEARLY as many tackles once all NFL defenders try to tackle him, which takes away his greatest strength (pun?).. and then you add in that we run a pass heavy WCO? I just dont see the value of taking a back at #4.

  • Let's get a Brian Westbrook

    Wouldn't suck...

Not as a feature back, but certainly as a piece of a RB by Committee set up...

And say hello to Don's Pomeroy House for me...

I'm really not getting the lack of love for Benson. A 7-year pro coming off of three very strong/ borderline great seasons. Couple "punching" incidents (one unsubstantiated; the other in family... it happens), but the DUI seems to be distant past now. Emphasize behavior in his contact, have Calvin Hill babysit him if need be and take a shot...

Benson delivers classy goodbye to Bengals

"There are no hard feelings. I loved my time there," Benson told the team's website. "I can't thank the fans enough for the way they supported me. I'm so forever grateful for the recommendation that I think came out of Chicago and for Marvin [Lewis] believing in me and for the Brown family for giving me a chance."

And I remember all the Peterson ones too. He's a good return specialist but was bad at corner. Maybe their defensive system makes CB look good?

  • Im all up for signing Cedric Benson, Just not to a long term contract. He is an established NFL starter and we can draft defense then and have a monster D.
