Whether it is at #4, or a trade down to as low as #8, the Browns draft

      First #1 = Trent Richardson

Second #1 = Stephen Hill (Floyd will not be here at #22 and Wright will be available at #37)

First #2 = Best DE or OT left on the board.

Hate to be the bad guy, but the Browns are trading out of the number 4 pick, they want to stay in the top 8. The Dolphins offered there second round pick already. The Browns are looking for a deal like the one they got last yr. I would bet everything I have except my daughter that we trade out of that pick. We will not get Blackmon or Trent. Look for the Browns getting someone like Ingram or Floyd at number 8, thats were I think the Browns will draft. There is a very small chance Richerson drops to 8 but doubt it.

The Browns are in talks with the Bucs right now about the 4th pick as well as the Jags..But almost 100% they do not draft at 4. This should be no shock to anybody

I agree with you. I would be shocked to see us keep the 4.

My dream scenario at this point would be ...

Buc's want Claiborne and we bluff them into think we are going to take him ... swap picks and pick up there second rounder

Then the Jags/Rams want Blackmon we bluff them and swap and take there second rounder

Phins want Tannehill ... we bluff them and grab there second

We pick at 8 and grab T Rich or whoever Heckert wanted all along and add 3 top 10 second round picks

Probably won't unfold that way, but I would feel much better about the lack of activity during free agency.

          going with the same picks,

expect to see a RT/OL with the 2nd round pick

wouldn't be surprised to see Weeden in the third, but more likely a CB

Source to the fact that the Dolphins already offered their 2nd or bullshit.

I'm assuming you are comparing them purely based off of size and their relatively similar 40 times (depending on which source you believe), because that's about where the comparison stops.

Sproles is a slash runner, a real "shake and bake" guy. He has strong cuts and a tremendous ability to change direction, hence his placement as a punt/kick returner. For someone of his diminutive stature, Sproles is considered unusually strong, but he's nowhere near what you would consider Richardson.

Richardson is a power runner, with slightly above average quickness for someone as bulky as he is, but no top end speed. He won't be returning punts or kicks any time soon.

Sproles is more like Josh Cribbs, whereas Richardson would be Peyton Hillis.

Richardson doesn't have top end speed, but he is still faster than most RB. His game speed 40 was timed at 4.52 by sports science and topped at 19mph. That's during a game with pads on. He also might not have elite quickness but good quickness for how big he is and he does have Elite agility.

i know we need a running back but why draft one so high when can literally find a RB unsigned.

I think Claiborne at 4 and then best RB available, with either a QB or a WR in the second round. That could mean a 3rd round WR as the first receiver picked. Call me crazy but here's my logic:

It's a deep class at WR and they have said a lot of things to distract people from Claiborne. I think they see the talent as well above the other options (Richardson or Blackmon) and the need to be just as great. So we have 4 picks in the first three rounds and we need a WR, DB, QB and RB (and linemen, etc). The question is how do the Browns get the best combination of the four. Caliborne totally solidifies the D, with perhaps a couple of later round DE's and OLB's. But right now, it's a glaring weakness in a pass-oriented league. There are a couple of good RB's but waiting for the second round is a gamble and a steep drop=off in talent. So I think they'll pick the RB up in the first round. In the 2nd round, if they've identified a QB and he's still there, they'll go for him. As there will be some good quality selections at WR in the third round.

On average, this is the best strategy for the Browns. It starts with Claiborne and then they'll watch the board and potentially change strategy if someone drops. But my call is Claiborne (DB), RB, QB, WR, OT, OG, in that order, in the first 4 rounds. 4 or 5 of the 6 will be starters in game 1 (DB, RB, WR, OT and possibly OG)

Fisher came out and said that the Browns are a possible trade partner with the Rams. How fucking stupid is that. You snub the Browns who have the better deal by picking ahead of the Skins and offer a second 1st rounder this year, claim it wasn't because of any relationship you have with Shanahan, and then say you are looking into a draft day trade with the Browns to move up to 4... THE SPOT YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN PICKING AT IF YOU HAD TAKEN OUR BETTER OFFER!

People think our team is run by a bunch of morons.

If Rams want our #4, fine... just make 'em overpay for it.

The #6, their #34 and their #38 (via the 'Skins) would be a fine place to open discussions.

our offer wasn't better. we offered 3 firsts if you believe the reports....skinsmatched the 3 firsts and threw in an additional 2nd, so im not sure how ours was better. for our #22 to be better than a skins 1st rd, they'll have to make the playoffs....certainly possible.

word is that we tried a counter offer, which were not permitted by les snead. so it boils down to who you believe, cause someone's lying. holmgren says one thing, snead says another. being as i dont see any motivation for snead calling the walrus a liar, chances are much greater that holmgren misled his season ticket holders due to pressure and backlash if he told the truth. irony being, no one would have been upset with the truth.

we made an offer....the skins made a bigger offer, move on. but no..just like his superbowl loss, holmgren goes public with his griping and whining effectively shoving his foot into his mouth...again.

I was watching NFL Network yesterday and they talked about us taking Weeden at #22. Makes no sense to me- Everyone is hung up on his age- he would easily fall to #37.

So I guess i don't get this regimes thinking- you want to trade back to get more picks or better value (trade back and take a guy like Richardson) yet you over value someone like Weeden. If he's taken at #22- I'm lost.

It would be nice to put all the pieces in place get a RT and a couple playmakers- evaluate Colt over the season and decide at that point where you are at and where you need to be at the position.

If we take Weeden at all at 22 37 60 03923875 I'll write a very detailed letter to HnH Explaining why they can completely go fuck themselves.

I actually think Weeden would be a great move later on in the draft. Rounds 1-3 should not be where we take him unless we pick up a shit ton of second round picks via trades and can AFFORD to take a flier on him.

As far as the NFL network is concerned that is all speculation from "draft insiders" those guys get paid to speculate it is their job. I wouldn't put much stock in it. None of them saw us taking Taylor, Sheard, Ward ... and the list goes on.

Wow, are some of us really considering "Weeden"... WEEDEN? 😆

The dude is as old as Jake Delhomme! ...wow, desperate times call for desperate measures I guess... 😵

Give Colt 3 or 4 more years and when he gets to be weeden's(snicker) age, he'll be a hell of a lot better than Weeden... Weeden will probably be retired by then anyway... C'mon people he'll be a 29 year old rookie?

Not comparing the two...but how old was Warren Moon when he was an NFL rookie? How about Doug Flutie or Kurt Warner?

I'm not saying that it is not possible but because a couple of guys worked out it's the rule and not the exception? Miracles CAN happen but realistically just because they have happened before doesn't mean it's for sure going to happen again. Kurt Warner was a fairy tale come true, grocery bager to superbowl champ... it's just not likely to happen again.

I don't know, maybe I'm just a bitter 30 year old that wishes that it was me in his place... it's not a good reason to diss the guy, my bad. I wish him the best of luck and hope all his dreams come true. I just like Colt much, much more I guess. I'll tell you what though, I would be happy to have him take Seneca Wallace's place as a backup to Colt. I really don't like Seneca that much at all.
