  • Said this morning that to the delight of some Richardson is being brought in for a visit, and to the dismay of others Weeden and Cousins are being brought in as well.

  • Personally my favorite mock is my own 😁

    #04- Richardson

    #22- Floyd/Wright/Hill

    #37- Best available RT

    3rd- Minnifield

    4th- Burfict

    4th- Osweiler

    BPA on out...

This draft is the most complete that I've seen.

A)Gives us a legitimate RB threat, best since AP- Maybe Emmit Smith

B)Addresses and upgrades the WR position opposite Greg Little

C)Shores up the OL and completes it, for now.

D)Gives us a good CB or FS with Cleveland ties and roots

E)Provides an animal a LB, one with question marks but DQ could have a good influence and mentor him

F)Brings in a young QB to compete against Colt, I think Brock has potential anyways.

G)Still leaves Heckert 7 picks to work his draft skill and knowledge with, I'm sure he can net some gems in there somewhere.

After the above draft our needs and weaknesses should be somewhat diminished right?

As is mine in my eyes... as is... as is... as is...

Try filling in those blanks. Who would likely be the BART at #36??? If there is no RT worth that pick, then what do you do?

  • are you suggesting, PG, that the first 4 rounds are not BPA? kinda looks like it from here.

#22: a drunk with serious character issues, small guy with average speed and no strength, a guy from a run first offense thats a workout warrior.

    #37: drafting for need hmmm?

    3rd: drafting based on name?

4th: a thug that flunked not only the combine, but his pro day...

know what your mock draft looks like? a list of players you like for reasons other than football ability. so its not really a mock draft at all....just your list of personal favorites.

*how can you be a drunk at his age? Heckert said himself, case by case basis will be determined.

*Welker is small and not the fastest... Wright made big plays and he made RG3

*Hill has Elite speed and height, he made plays when given the chance...

    #37: drafting for need hmmm?

Yes, we have a need for a RT, but as many have told me, "you don't take a RT in the first round". Early 2nd will produce a fine RT

    3rd: drafting based on name?

Not based on name. The name is a plus, he's a solid corner in his own right, could play multiple positons. look up his scouting report.

4th: a thug that flunked not only the combine, but his pro day...

James Harrison is a so called thug. Burfict made HUGE plays at ASU. He was that teams Defense. Go watch actual gamefilm, he's everywhere.

know what your mock draft looks like? Yes, a winner.

    His hamstring isn't.

  • and richardson is 'guaranteed' not to get hurt somehow?

you could be drafted at #4 or be unsigned and still pull a hammy. the unsigned was the leading rusher in the nfl in 2010 and his team just signed him to a 5 year deal. not bad for being unsigned.

  • #6 Blackmon, WR

    #22 Mike Adams, OT

    #37 David Wilson, RB

    Zombo

Of course not I was just being an asshole. My point is that it's still the same stupid argument for every position in the NFL other than QB. Cruz had a fantastic season, one of the best in the whole NFL at WR and got screwed out of the Pro Bowl. So why take a WR this high. Tramon Williams is a pro bowl CB for Greenbay, why the hell spend money on a top 5 CB when we can just sign a UDFA. You get the top talent that will help your team the most period. He is going to produce more than any other guy we can take at 4.

I don't care who we take I trust Heckert will pick the best guy. I just happen to think it's Richardson.

  • i know you were. lol.

hey this happens every year. we all have our favorites that we'd like to see in a browns uniform. i get it. we pick sides. it was the pick RG3 vs. the don't pick RG3 camps. now it's the trent richardson fans.

if they pick him i wouldn't be pissed at all. but heckert always has some surprises up his sleeve.

i remember being in 'the browns tavern' last couple of years during the draft and people were killing heckert for the taylor and sheard picks and applauding the mccoy pick the year before.

now look at what most of us are saying about those picks.

With the Browns 2nd round pick, TJ Ward.

  • Bump for days ticking down.

  • Changed 23 Apr - 21:01

    Assuming we stay at #4:

    1.04 - M. Claiborne (CB-LSU)

    1.22 - J. Martin (OT-Stanford)

    2.05 - K. Zeitler (OG-Wiscinsin)

    3.04 - Cyrus Grey (RB-A&M)

    4.05 - Marvin Jones (WR-Cal)

    Assuming we stay at #4:

    #04 - J. Blackmon (WR)

    #22 - J. Martin (OT)

    #37 - D. Martin (RB)

Assuming we trade down within top 10 I think we'll take Floyd (WR), Martin and Martin...

  • Richardson, Wright and Massey. I still think they may also have a boner for Claiborne. But he would have to be an all-pro to take a risk like that.

  • #4 Richardson........best playmaker on the board

#22 Hill..............best playmaker at receiver left

  • So i'll go on offical record for the first round and throw out a guess as the 2nd round player we take.

With the fourth pick in the draft the Cleveland Browns select Trent Richardson RB Alabama, I hate to even utter those words because i want J.Black like no other Cleveland fan understands. The reason we take T.Rich is the hole that our rbs can't fill at all with the departure of Hillis, the History of Hardesty, and the minimal production of obbly goobly gobller the smart choice for the west coast offense would be to select the next projected Darren Sproles in T.Rich. I'll go on record and say we select him even with a draft day trade down we will stay with T.Rich where ever we select.

With the twentysecond pick in the draft the Cleveland Browns select Kendall Wright WR Baylor. The Browns feel with the talent at WR in this years draft and having a second pick in the first round they can look over Blackmon and still fill in a number one WR in the first, with all this said talent at this position i really believe the Browns will look at the benefits of bringing in a player like Wright to compliment G.Little/Momass as the 2s if the Browns can utilize Evan Moore this year look to see a vastly improved offense barring any bonehead coaching decisions (which we can all expect)

Those are the two players i think we take exactly in the first round. I have some thoughts in the 37th pick but i am not sold on where they might lean depending whos off the board, i truly believe the browns would select a Linebacker here personally would love to see Burfict but i haven't thought out past 22 so we'll see.

Go on record with your guys picks so you can brag if you called it exactly like it played out.

I am gonna brag i called this on march 27th and then i see NFL.com Mock Drafts like this http://www.nfl.com/draft/2012/mock-drafts/steve-wyche/130105?module=HP11_hot_topics

Steve Whyche must read these forums and loves my insight. Awe man if i called it dead on in March i am gonna APP to ESPN and teach Kiper some shit.

  • Could be.... but if Floyd is still on the board come #18 SD... I'm calling them about a trade for our 22 plus a mid-Rnd pick.

Floyd's a far more complete WR than Wright...

  • There are many possible ways for us to go in the first. I wouldnt be suprised if we went with one of the Stanford lineman at #22 but looking at the browns based on need this would be my ideal draft:

    1.04 - Trent Richardson (RB-Alabama)

    1.22 - Stephen Hill (WR-Georgia Tech)

    2.05 - Bobby Massie (OT-Ole Miss)

    3.04 - Zach Brown (LB-North Carolina)

    4.05 - Kirk Cousins (QB-Michigan St.)

  • What I would like and what I think we will do are 2 different things. I think HnH will draft for their system instead of BPA, so with out a trade, this is what I see happening.

    1. J Blackmon- WR

    1. J. Jenkins- CB

    2. M. Adams- OT

    3. L. James- RB

  • i originally said claiborn for my first pick if i were H&H.. now i hear rumors that minnesota will take him at 3.

wha wha WHAT??? man are these smokescreens or for real? todd mcshay "i just got off the phone from a reliable source that minnesota will pick claiborn @3." motherfucker.

now do we even look at the OL @4 or go richardson or blackmon?

i hate this shit just hurry up and get here THURDAY MFing NITE!!!!! jesus h. christ!.
