Mlk Day Trivia Question

The Browns Board
12 3 402
  • Semi-appropriate for the 44th anniversary of the assasination of Martin Luther King (4/4/1968), and a variation on a theme:

    Kind of two parts:

    A. There have been 43 men to hold the Office of President of the United States, and there have been many thousands of men who have played in the NFL. But, Six of those Presidents have never had a single person with the same last name ever take an NFL field.

Name the 6 President with no NFL namesakes.

    B. Six other Presidents have only had one single person with the same last name play in the NFL. Name those 6.

I'm just shooting at the hip here. I'm gonna say Obama for sure, Taft, Garfield, Eisenhower, Van Buren, and Fillmore

Check on Obama, Taft, Garfield, and Fillmore.

    There are 2 others.

FYI, Steve Van Buren was a HOF RB with the Eagles. Plus there were a couple of other Van Buren's.

(though there is a WR with Seattle called Ben Obomanu..close)

I am giving credit for Eisenhower for Part B.

There was an Eisenhauer that did play. Though not exact, with a name like that, close is good enough.

  • Andrew Jackson?

  • Andrew Jackson?

Seriously? You think that no one with the last name of Jackson has ever played in the NFL? We are only going by last names.

There have been over 100 players with the last name Jackson play in the NFL. In fact, there have been 2 Andrew Jacksons. One is active, an OL with the Falcons.

  • whoops, I thought we we're matching... 😁

  • I guess that would be why I thought it was an easy question!!! 😆

No, just going by last name. Feel free to try again.

  • I guess I'll go with Ronald Reagan...

Reagan fits under B...only 1 person with that name has played in the NFL. There are 5 others in that category. (4 since we already had IKE)
