  • im confused. so, after major surgery, he comes back and runs a slow WR time. is the idea here that he's gonna get faster? otherwise...we've already got the guy on our roster. we dont need anymore slow possession receivers.

5 months is very early after an ACL. I believe 9-12 months is a reasonable time period to recover from an ACL, so I am impressed that he is able to run a 40 with "average" 40 time (4.56 is average for a WR over the last few years) after only 5 months. He'll get faster and stronger over the next few months. He may not be full speed by training camp, but if you can use a low round pick and get high value in a year then I do it. Its not like we are going to make the playoffs next year anyway.

5 months off an ACL surgery... ya a 4.57 is really good. It can take over a full year for a guy to get back up to full speed.

Yea im not sure how that will translate to actual football speed though, with pads and cutting he may play much slower than that for a while..

  • im still confused. confused as to how you idiots can say any of that with a straight face considering recent history.

alot of ASSumptions that he'll "get faster and stronger" and that running 5 months after ACL reconstruction is somehow a good fucking idea. jesus....did this kid score a negative wonderlic? he sure as hell isn't very bright.

im not even sure why i came back.... 😳

    Mr neagtive i see.

Ryan worked his ass off to get back into shape. He did it in unbelievable time. The kid was a great WR before he was injured and was a 2nd round pick lock. Becauase of his injury his stock went down to 6th round status. Todays proday showed that he is going to be worth a 3rd round pick. Is a 4,4 guy that can actually catch the ball, his routes are amazing, he came from a school with an average qb, so Ryan had to be pretty good to catch over 300 passes in his carrer.

  • Anyone who knows me knows that I am a far bigger Broyles fan than I am of Blackmon. Broyles COULD be a major steal in this draft, or a big bust due to the injury, but the cost will NOT be the #4 overall pick in the draft. Personally, I think Blackmon at #4 in the 1st round is a far bigger gamble than Broyles in the 3rd or 4th round. Time will tell.

    We're not sure either.

Because you can actually run in a straight line on a torn ACL, so five months later is not a big deal. It is the cutting that makes an ACL injury so detrimental.

  • This kid could have easily been a first round pick had he not gotten hurt. Even with the injury he is a projected third rounder. I WOULD absolutely love this kid in the 4th round if he made it there and I could even live with him in round 3.

If we could grab Burfict and Broyles with our 2 4th rounders ... it could be out most interestting 4th round ever. It could pay huge dividends

Agree 100%, he is a better option than Kendall Wright. I'd rather snag him with our 3 round pick than use our 22 overall pick on Kendall Wright
