Last Minute Things I Know I Think I'm Figuring On The Browns' Draft

I think it's Richardson. The Jets are going to go defense - pass rush with their first pick.

Alshon Jeffries is wonderfully talented, not so much on the ambition/love for the game/ etc.

He will not be the pick. If the Browns go Blackmon and Dougie Martin, well, I'm still good.

I trust Heckert and co. hugely, to have a brilliant draft.

I'm convinced that Fleener would be a star with the Browns at 22. Surely he won't be there at 37. Maybe.

Where do the Browns find their RT? I think it would be in the second round. Maybe the third.

But Jonathan Martin, RT, at 22? Huge. I want that lockdown RT badly. However they do it, they do it.

I don't see a qb in the first three rounds... maybe Weeden or Cousins in the third but maybe...

they might nab Weeden at 37. Or even 22. So he's older. He's still a fine pick, who could start next year,

or take over for Colt if he gets banged up.

There is no way the Browns draft Adams. Adams doesn't have the character profile. Too bad.

Later in the draft - I think Posey could be a great late pickup for the Browns' second wr pick.

I also like the kid, Davis, from whatever small school he's from - he is the closest thing to Blackmon in the draft.

But, he'd take a while to adapt to the NFL, I think. 6th/7th round chance.

The Browns will draft Richardson or Doug Martin. Forget any other rb in the draft. I want Massie, or Martin, or Swartz at RT.

That's pretty much the only three who could step in and start - it might be tought for Swartz though.

But, even at that, Swartz could sruggle and still be a better RT than the Browns have had for years.

The Browns will draft for character. Claiborne is a terrific player, but plenty of others think the next guy could be better.

Yeah, I just forgot his name, and no, it isn't Janoris Jenkins. Jenkins has a lot of talent, and he is garbage in the character dept.

Every single pick the Browns make tonight will be an excellent pick. Character, work ethic, solid addition to the field AND the locker room.

Every single mock draft will have the Browns picking players that the Browns don't draft. Happens every year.

This years discussions on the Brownsboard sill have to have been the best discussions around. Except for any mention of Burfict as a great

    first round pick. @@

Oh, boy - not much time left to wait. YES !

I honestly wouldn't be mad with Fleener at #22 just because of his talent. Where we are now hoping that Moore learns how to block to become an every down TE and Cameron develops into legit starter we would know that we have the TE of the future when Watson retires after the season and have solid #2 TE on the team. We better hope that he doesn't make it to the Colts at #33 cause if Luck gets his college TE who was his favorite target last year we are going to have some serious trouble when we play them this season.

Or as Bill Parcells said: "this guy has so many red flags it looks like May Day in Moscow".

Lets say Browns don't take Richardson and Carolina or Cincy or someone else takes them with a pick or even trades up or down a few spots before we pick again at 22? What would we do with Richardson, Martin, and Wilson gone?

Would love to trade our 22 and 4th for New Englands two 1st round picks and get Martin and Alshon and still have our 37 for possible Hill or even Jenkins

22 is no place for drafting a WR. If its between Fleener/Wright/Hill. I take Fleener. After Floyd its 3-10 guys that have questions and are probably rated differently by most teams. My prediciton- There will be a surprise pass rusher available for the Browns at 22. A guy the Browns have rated high but figure he wouldn't be there at 22. I could also see a trade down from the 22 spot- as the Browns probably rate a lot of WRs fairly high and figure they could grab one with an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick.
