Mccoy Vs. Weeden
-
We start Mccoy and bring in Weeden for the "wild weed" plays. To much, i know, bored out of my mind on the chattahooce river.
-
Im fully behind who ever the qb is starting day 1. I don't want another Quinn Anderson debacle.
Personally I feel Weeden has more potential and is physically better than McCoy. But I also haven't seen Weeden taken a NFL snap as a Brown either.
-
Well at least no one voted for Wallace..

In the words of Mick: Right on Baby!, or is it "Ride on"? Whatever.

your third question should have been are you ok with picking him @#22.
i voted i'm ok with it. but i believe we could have got him as our third pick.
hey who knows, he could be the next kevin kolb.
-
Or he could be the next Kurt warner. Why do you hate the browns so much?

don't hate the browns. just hate the way the franchise has been run for the past 3 decades or so. i know we need continuity blah blah blah. but i'll be a doubting thomas until i see the improvement.
yeah we got a great RB that will what last us 5 yrs. tops? after that the fixing of the OL was a good move but after that i'm hard pressed to see anything talent wise in this draft that will make us compete in our division. especially with the amount of picks we had.
dumb decisions over and over again. just ask phil taylor.

Ask me 10 years ago, and I'd say that a QB competition is a good thing. But since 1999, every time it has completely backfired. We go from choosing between two QB's, to realizing we have no one capable of winning. This year is no different. Honestly I don't care anymore who plays for this team, as long as we win! As of now I can see both QB's entering camp. Weeden already has the advantage, both QBs will look decent in camp and Weeden will probably be the starter week 1. Going on to playing very mediocre during the course of the year. Neither one has the quality to "light up the scoreboard" this season. BUT the coaching staff is doing the right thing now. You can't just give him the job...

OK seriously, who voted Senecca?

Probably one of the Steeler fans that "occasionally" visit this site...
I personally wanted to vote for Spergon Wynn, but for some reason he got left out.

If you think about it, McCoy has no rope whatsoever. You don't try and trade up for RGIII, or draft another qb in the first round if H&H had any hope McCoy was the answer @ qb.
Is it possible that McCoy might start a few games, should Shurmur decide Weeden isn't ready? Certainly- but not likely. A loss or two sends Colt straight out to pasture in that case.
And you don't cut him- he's and adequate backup, and cheaper than Seneca Wallace who should get cut in that situation.

Hoorta, (I watched THE HORTA 90 minutes ago), you hit the nail on the head. However, I don't see Colt getting the start at all. If we had McNabb, or Sanchez or someone like that to start? Then it makes sense. Nobody in their right mind sits Weeden and lets him observe Colt.
Wallace is our 2nd string QB, or at least he will be as the season plays out.
I wasn't saying probability- I was saying possibility. Like about the odds of the Klingons attacking Earth in the near future.
Well, if you meant the original Star Trek Episode "Devil in the Dark" it is one of my faves, and I'm sort of like the Horta- way back in the day when it comes to trolls.Original Series Faves besides- "Corbomite Maneuver", "Balance of Terror", "Arena", "Return of the Archons". Plenty of ST-TNG that's worth watching, especially "Best of Both Worlds I & II" and the movie "First Contact".

What were the episodes called where Kirk went over to the parallel universe and Spock had the goatee?
And correct me if I am wrong but didn't "The Enterprise", the prequel series with Scott Bakula as Captain also make a visit to that same parallel universe in which the Federation was more of a dictatorial, warlike entity?
(Don't give us any nerd alerts. By being on the board one is automatically a nerd)

Yeah, a football nerd. Not a nerd nerd.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Nerd nerds kick ass, I don't wanna hear otherwise

McCoy is a little boy next to Weeden. Let's all get behind the gun and hope McCoy settles into a nice, prosperous career as a backup, because he is a nice guy.
Weeden will sew up the QB position by preseason game 2 and we can all move on without any gay qb controversies where we have to move the people holding on to McCoy to a new site because they are holding on too tight.
It's Weeden's team and T-Rich is going to be a stud.
These are the new Browns. We're going to try "talent" instead of "moxie" and "hope" for a change...

So... you want the Browns to SUCK?
Try again.

I believe the episode you're referring to is "Mirror, Mirror".
The only issue I have with "Enterprise" Scott Bakula, though enjoyable has far too much time travel stuff, and I can't claim to have seen every episode of that series. Wasn't a huge fan of DSN either.
