It's very odd that the police turned on the goofy Christians.
They weren't any kind of threat.
The dirtbag Muslims were.
That's cowardice to me.
And yes, they couldn't afford two policemen at the scene....

I watched that video. The young Muslims should not have responded the way they did. Throwing shit was obviously wrong and I hope some of them get arrested (like that punk in the blue)
But at the same time, why was that Christian group, decked out in signs and shirts dissing Muslims, at an Arab Festival to begin with? They were asking for trouble. I completely see with the police moved them out of there.
You aren't allowed to yell fire in a crowded theater. Of course, they Muslims there shouldn't have reacted that way, but still, the Christians were asking for trouble

Okay, you have an opinion. Not so bad.
The trouble is, the Christian group had a right to be there, too.
I don't know if they couldn't be somewhere else, and it's poosible they went
and were getting into the way of the Muslim group.
But from what I could tell, they were just there, and the Muslim group
acted out in rage and violence, just because they dared to be Christians and exist.
Who approached who with hate and violence? Is it not like a woman wearing a skirt,
"so she deserves to be sexually assualted" ? Remember the woman reporter?
It's extreme hate and violence,, even if all you do, is not be Muslim, to these sickoes.

But all they were doing was not "just not being Muslim"
They were holding signs and wearing shirts attacking the Muslim faith in the middle of a fucking Arab festival. Also, who knows what they were saying to the crowd before the video started. One of them equated terrorists chopping heads off to the entire religion, so I'm sure it wasn't much better earlier. The one guy in the middle from Iraq knew what was going on. They just wanted to cause trouble and film Muslims being violent and stay with their view that all are. Sadly, a bunch of stupid ones threw shit at them.

In a matter of simply being a non threatening protest group, which is what they were...
I thought protest was a very American thing to do if ya feel like it.
I wonder - would a Christian Festival be allowed to take place in public? As in,
the local gov would allow it? What about separation of church and state then?
I suppose then, if a Muslim group showed up with signs, and were non threatening...
and a bunch of stupid violent Christians attacked them...
all the Christians would be ignored? And the Muslim protestors get the law laid down on them?
I just wonder.

Just saying, but I don't believe in banning....."If everybody had like minds, we would never learn" is my quote. I won't dismiss other opinions.....they may have merit.

For what its worth I stay in dearborn when ever I play detroit.
The middle eastern places are clean and the prices are reasonable and the people are nice.
I don't think we have much of a clue as to what went on here, but it looks like a bunch of non muslims came down for some sort of dumb ass protest.
By and large I think protesters are assholes.
I can imagine if, say, a bunch of muslims came down to protest the feast of the assumption in little italy.
Of course there will be problems. Then again there is always a segment of society that enjoys causing problems.
