Well you can have any opinion you want vapor. After all I'm the one that just washed and read books to a beautiful one year old child, and you're the smarmy douche who thinks printed information in some book is the end all and be all of life. I know what it took to bring a child into existence. I know when his life started, you have no idea about it.

    Not. One. Idea.

Like I said, I don't hold it against you. I was a black and white smarmy liberal know it all douche once too. One day you'll put down the games, meet a real girl and maybe even have a family. Some responsibility. Then you'll have some idea, outside of a book or other piece of media that someone else thought of for you.

It's called growing up. You have a lot of it to do.

    Nice fallout three meme.

Don't get started with that woody. I'm not a conservative and I don't care about emotions. People have them. I'm not even religious. Far from it. In fact myself from ten years ago probably has an awful lot in common with you. I feel confident your views will be tempered, in time, with age.

Whatever man.,plants are living and so are bugs. An infant with a beating heart is living. And by the way, fuck you. I do hope you never have to go through that, though.

And a fly has more brain function than a six week old fetus, yet you have no problem stomping on it because it's a nuisance. What I'm saying is brutal, but the fact is that unwanted babies are a drain on the families that support them, and oftentimes it's better for everyone involved to terminate a pregnancy than to carry through with it. Abortion as a form of birth control is careless, given that there are other, cheaper and preventative methods of not becoming pregnant. But it's better that the option is on the table.

No its not better than the "option on the table" either. Birth control is awesome, you'll get no complaint from me. Everyone should be using birth control every single time unless you're actually trying to have a kid, but abortion is not right, and will never be right. It's legal convienence murder plain and simple.Doctors doctors who take an oath to do no harm, should know this more than anyone. It's hypocritical in the most extreme sense to take that oath and then kill the most defenseless and innocent, a living child cruelly and savagely ripped from the womb. I don't agree with hard-core Christian fundementalists on much but we agree on this: abortion "doctors" are sleazy fucking scumbags.

  • It's sad, that all the liberal whining about "not wanted" and "finances" etc...

    they never will discuss adoption.

With so many couples going overseas to adopt....

Cuz that's what we need, more orphans. It's not like there are already too many people, but we want orphans...

We'll see. They'll probably change some, but I don't think the foundation of my beliefs will. You know, science, common sense, all that jazz.

You want to go on and on about how you know what it really takes to make a baby so you should be the authority. Well, the women actually are the ones that are pregnant for 9 months, it seems to me like they should get the final word. Not what politicians or the church want.

No one is pro abortion, that's why it is called pro choice. Obviously birth control is the best solution. You just actually have to teach sex ed and not abstinence only education.

I was brought up where I originally had to go to PSR and stuff, but then I was given a choice as to what I wanted to do (more or less, no one really cares). I realized I don't need to believe in made up fairy tales from a story book.

But, if religious people can complain for possibly indirectly funding abortions, can't non-religious people complain for indirectly funding religion?

I don't think that time in my life will come where instead of choosing to try to figure out why something happened or happens I'll just chalk it up to god.

I OFTEN avoid responding to you because of your outright ignorance and unjustified anger towards the religious folks. People who worship in church are by in large, peaceful and make up the majority of

the middle ground, politically speaking. The Christian church over the years have had their fair share of faults, that can even be listed as our hallmark - SINFUL right? But why the hatred? Go ahead and judge me,

with all you find wrong with the christian faith and I'll say you are right. There is none on earth who is righteuos ...no not one....

BTW, where do churches get the money to build? Its not from the govt thats for sure...... its from the people who make up the congregations.

    I don't hate religious people.

I hate what religion stands for and what it brings about.

I hate people just quitting on finding solutions and settling with God did it. I hate people killing in the name of a fairy tale. I hate people believing a hundred year old set of stories for no other reason than their patents did and their parents did. Blindly believing these things kills the drive for knowledge. It causes people, even politicians, to do things based completely on what a work of fiction says about it.

I don't hate the people who believe this. I hate what they believe.

Religious institutes dint pay taxes but still utilize services that are funded by taxes. We are essentially subsidizing them. If religious people can bitch about paying taxes that indirectly might find abortions I should be able to do the same thing in regards to indirectly funding them

  • Religious institutes dint pay taxes but still utilize services that are funded by taxes Woody

    (((((((((((((

Maybe it's just me..... but do you mean by "utilize services" ???

Maybe you are thinkin of Planned Parenthood....

  • Keep in mind that is only 17 percent of doctors are in the AMA now.

Forgive me if I don't agree with some college kid (vapor in this case, who is generally an alright guy that I have no animosity towards) that abortion is great, and that its an acceptable means to control population. Abortion is not great nor is it acceptable in my view. Knowing what I know now (and don't humans love to say that) abortion is the worst crime. Teach the kids sex ed, fine, give out "morning after pills" like candy, why not? Even offer the dumbest among us money to be sterilized. I'm fine with that. Don't kill the baby because you failed miserably to have any responsibility at all. Once that heart is beating its alive. Would you just gas the orphans waiting to be adopted so they're not a drain on society anymore? Because abortion is the same concept. You're killing a child so it doesn't disrupt your life of irresponsible casual sex. I'd rather see state sponsored sterilization to legalized abortions any day, all day.

  • And I'm not saying I'm older than you so you know nothing. Just that you have no perspective on the lives of children. Trust me, please, that the idea of a child and having a child are two very different things. When you have one your perspective should be, and will be, much different.

I guess it's black and white where I stand. I'd be dumb to not admit there are positives about religion though. It brings some people hope, a feeling that there is someone watching after you, thinking there is something more. It also can create a sense of community and they can do charity work.

That's all great, but those things aren't exclusive to religious groups and I don't believe they outweigh the negatives.

I am firm in my believe that Michigan us my favorite football team. But I can still admit Yost was kind of a racist
