How Many Can Be On The Pratice Squad?

  • Jesus lets just fill the practice squad with other teams cast offs from last year. Gronk has been on 4 other teams, not worth a practice squad spot, Windsor has been on the team for the preseason the past two years, not worth the spot. Sims who I think was worth a spot on the active roster wasn't cut but traded to the Eagles. I think we have 7 PS spots. The guys who should get them from the people cut so far are.

Cooper, Cameron, Owusu (who I don't think has officially been cut yet but more than likely will), Dockery, and two others from other teams cuts.

Dockery...really? The guy is a pass interference call on EVERY play

  • Regardless of where he's been or where he came from, he looked like a decent WR and its not like we have an abundance of those.

They guy has two PI in the last game, but did good the first 3 games and all last preseason. You have to think past just one game.

Did you know last nights TD was his only in the preseason. Did you know last night he was the one who got blown back into Hodges punt and later got thrown into Hodges a 2nd time just after the kick got off. He hasn't done anything other than last night his two preseasons with the Browns and I would that is no where near worth a spot on the PS.

    Exactlly. Godd riddance

  • Its just my opinion dude, yea maybe hes not the best blocker on the punt team but like you said you have to think past just one game, and from what ive seen of the dude he seems like hes got some potential. Just my point of view.

Think past just one game the guy hasn't done anything.

  • how about burt reed? windsor clone too?

i'm admittedly surprised they ended up so much higher on benjamin than Cooper. Heinz Ward proved you don't need to have Olympic speed to find soft spots in the D.

they both can contribute on specials but in different ways as they are entirely different players. both have some return ability but benjamin is obviously more dynamic...but benjamin couldn't block LBs if he had a school bus. maybe Cooper can't either. dudes his size are exceptionally hard to see out of the backfield though.

biggest thing i can figure is his style and ability to stretch the D is a staple in Shurmz offense, and now, without Mitchell as far as i know he's it.

if he is, what if he goes down?!? anyone know how fast Gordon is?

Reed was waived/injured. I think he made it though waivers and got put on IR. I think Cooper is on par with Benjamin but who is obviously more likely to make it through waivers and make it on the PS. Cooper. We will see him on the active roster around the 2nd half of the season when someone gets hurt.
