  • Condoleeza Rice would probably be a smart move, even to just add her as an adviser.

    She is brilliant.

    And a Browns fan.

  • Condi is probably the best he's going to do, but to imagine that surrogates are a) going to change the nature of the race, or 😎 want to hop on a losing campaign and associate themselves with Mitt Romney, the guy who couldn't beat a president in a time of 8% unemployment, is wishing on a star.

You honestly think trotting out an economist is going to do anything at this point? He's got lots of economists already out there.

And why can't I do a "b" and a ")" without it turning it into a smiley face?

  • I don't care which economist he picks, just talking about a dream team for political purpose.

Voters have some strange disconnect between Obama's Wall Street guys and the wall Street guys they demonize.

And admit it call 1 you love the 🙂 as much as anyone.

Now that's weird, I dictated 🙂 and that's that came up ha ha ha.

  • I'm afraid you're not only too late for some sort of "dream team" to be assembled, there is no dream team to begin with.

The only slightly game-changing endorsements left are Colin Powell and David Petraeus, and only the former seems like he wants to wade into American politics, and it wouldn't be on your side if he did.

Well the time frame is what it is nobody can change that.

depends on what Petraeus feels like doing.

You are correct powell probably wouldn't climb on board but, who knows?

He is an opportunist and has been known to make his morality secondary to his advancement.

  • You don't have to change a thing with the Romney campaign.

Romney may not be the most conseravative candidate that we need but Ryan will kick ass!

You can always try to make people upset and try to make them stay home from voting with these silly escapades, meanwhile you're loser Obama has NOTHING!!! to run on. His record is a big pile of shit.

    8% Unemployment

    A- Credit Rating

5 Trillion of new debt and where are the fucking jobs?

Colin Powell is an immoral opportunist? Walk me through why you think that is.

  • Colin Powell is a pussy and should be working for Obama.

Come on heck you remember it was your buddies calling him the house n***** when he worked for George Bush.

Sold out to sit at the White Man's table.

Lied for the Bush administration so they could steal Iraq's oil.

If he were so morally upset he might have....

    Or not.

You guys hated him before and then when it didn't matter anymore he changed his tune and now you love him.

Oh Jesus. Try it again. Walk me through why you think he's a immoral opportunist. This was directed at someone somewhere else.

    It was your party heck.

So besides the racist garbage that your guys threw what do you think?

Did Dick Cheney trick him, or force him to shill?

    WSS

  • No, i'm talking about what you said: "He is an opportunist and has been known to make his morality secondary to his advancement." You said that.

    How do you figure?

You mean I got my facts wrong from listening to your party?

    How can that be true?

    WSS

  • Not based particularly at anything in this thread but I find it amazing how some of you don't notice the irony in a lot of things you say when based against other things you've said.

  • Yes, not your finest hour here, Steve.

So do you think that about the man or not? I don't. I think that's wildly unfair and unsupportable. But hey, give it a try.

  • Fair enough.

Woody you were a child but Heck's guys called Powell some terrible names when on behalf of the Bush administration he went to the UN with proof that Saddam had weapons.

He may well have been right which meant the invasion was perfectly acceptable.

Or he may have given testimony he knew to be incorrect in order to keep and secure his position in that administration.

That, Woody, would be setting aside one's morals for gain.

I realisze you were too young to remember and so this is just a tribute to Heck.

    WSS

  • Who are "my guys" who called Colin Powell terrible names, someone on the internet? Who are you talking about? I didn't call him horrible names. Talk to me. I'm right over here!

And of course your ridiculous either/or formulation leaves out the accepted reality that everyone already acknowledges, including Powell himself: that they had a lot of the intelligence wrong. He wasn't up there lying "in order to keep and secure his position in that administration." His case was also full of things that weren't true. Also some that were true.

Or as Powell said, "I, of course, regret the U.N. speech that I gave, which became the prominent presentation of our case. But we thought it was correct at the time. The President thought it was correct. Congress thought it was correct.”

    Or try this one:

The former secretary of state, Colin L. Powell, says in a television interview to be broadcast Friday that his 2003 speech to the United Nations, in which he gave a detailed description of Iraqi weapons programs that turned out not to exist, was "painful" for him personally and would be a permanent "blot" on his record.

"I'm the one who presented it on behalf of the United States to the world," Mr. Powell told Barbara Walters of ABC News, adding that the presentation "will always be a part of my record."

Asked by Ms. Walters how painful this was for him, Mr. Powell replied: "It was painful. It's painful now." Asked further how he felt upon learning that he had been misled about the accuracy of intelligence on which he relied, Mr. Powell said, "Terrible." He added that it was "devastating" to learn later that some intelligence agents knew the information he had was unreliable but did not speak up.

    ...Seriously, where have you been?

  • Yes, you did, Heck. You and your little fleabag mz the pussy the pussy, and your one super fan guy, Sheply.

Actually, what's even worse, and I'll bet Steve remembers this, too...

was when you and your two "buddies" ridiculed Tony Snow in nasty fashion....

    right after he died.

    Not classy at all.

but, heckbunker always thinks he can just leave the board, and then

he gets a clean slate when he comes back.

The evil heckbunkers do live after them.
