Colt was the right call throught the Pre-Season and to start the season, IMO...

How did you pull that out of what he said? At all, seriously? He didn't say anything about Colt being better than any rookie, just Weeden.

As much as I want to see Colt...we won't. We could go 0-16 and not see Colt.

I don't think Colt is a GREAT QB, or 'the answer' going forward. I just think that Weeden isn't taking this team any further than Colt, and Colt deserved to get his chance with the new weapons/linemen. Weeden was handed the job without earning it and that is unsettling.

Weird trend with the Browns, pretty much every QB we've had has been pushed into a starter role before they were ready and were pushed out when they finally were. Not saying we've gotten rid of pro-bowlers, just crazy how quickly we blame QB's for our problems instead of realizing we set QB's up for failure.

Colt sucks, and is not a good QB. How short the memories are of some of you are. This just proves how fucked up Holmgren is. He has accomplished nothing since being here and should just resign and gtfo of here and move back to Seattle. We have made poor player and coaching decisions for a long time and it is resulting in a yearly suck team. That is the bottom line.

I didn't say he was a good qb, just that we have a better chance of winning a few games with him. Weeden may or may not be good eventually, but he's certainly not right now.

I don't care if we lose every game with Colt...i just wanted our team to have passion every single play and to bring a bit of excitement to the game...Weeden doesn't do that. Colt's arm is almost healed...i have been saying for almost 2 years that his passes from college had so much more zip on them, and something must be wrong. Colt then tells the world that in fact my realization was correct...Weeds will play through the Ravens game then will be pulled in the 3rd Quarter. for Colt 2.0

Shurmer is 4-15 with whomever he starts at QB and has lost 9 straight games. Haslem may send him out the door with Holmgren the minute he takes control, and I can't say that I would blame him.

yes i believe weeden was given the job unfairly. does that mean we would have won our first three games if colt would have played? we'll never know.

look the deal is done. it all lays on mike holmgren as diehard has said. whoever thought that this QB czar was a great hire needs to shut the fuck up now because you were all wrong. you drank the kool aid and now you realize it was poisoned.

as represent said: the only way colt sees the field again is with a weeden injury. this is a first round pick with maybe 3 years of gas left in his tank. it's make it or break it with this guy.

look, i don't hate weeden. i just thought colt deserved a chance with this team with the weapons that are afforded weeden that weren't there last year for mccoy. but until holmgren gets fired he'll never be allowed to be seconded guessed about anything he does. his fucked up WCO. his coach. one last grasp at something that he thinks is a winner.

sadly for us though times had faded years before his hire here.

It depends, does Weeden ever get injured? They made their bed now they need to lie in it. Switching now would be an even bigger mistake than when they just handed the ball to Weeden.

Agree on many of these posts.

My biggest concern with Weeden now is how he doesn't seem to ever step up in the pocket. He has to "feel" the pocket caving in after a few seconds, but he doesn't. He looks like a punching bag at times- he needs to get that sense in a hurry. I'm afraid we will see Colt Thursday, because Weeden could get seriously pummeled by the Ratbirds.

Very rarely do rookie quarterbacks come in and make the playoffs right away. I was very lucky to see Flacco do that, but that's because we had a good team in place around him. Instead of switching the quarterback until you win, you need to make sure he has a team around him and let him build and improve. My mind is still blown over how you guys would draft a 28 year old who's going to be 30 like a quarter of the way through next year... makes no sense.

Thank god we traded the #6 pick in 2011!

I mean without Greg Little,Owen Marisuck and Phil Taylor we would of surely went 0-16 and had to of draft Robert Griffin or Andrew Luck.

With the addition of Phil Taylor we went from #32 against the run to #31 against the run, we are building a Jugernaut. In 30 more years we will have the #1 run defense against the run.

Heckert is a god damn genius, fucking Weeden will be a perennial PRO BOWLER until he retires in five years - Luck and Griffin? I don't see them panning out at all. All the experts agree.

Julio Jones is a bum Greg Little had 61 catches! for the Browns DYNAMIC OFFENSE in 2011 - yes Heckert is pure fucking genius.

I mean Weeden to Little - how can you not love that.

He has a great spark about him, he's a leader that these guys will follow. This is making him better, feeding his fire. He's stacking the hay right now and when he's done cooking these guys won't play for anyone else.
