  • There's as clear a media bias for Obama as there was announcer bias for the giants yesterday.

    Exactly.

like I say even though I believe journalists prefer Obama they will still report actual facts.

But you can still feel the preference.

An example I made in the other thread is that I love to listen to Jim Donovan.

He's certainly a homer like Nev Chandler before him.

Still neither 1 refused to announce a Steeler touchdown.

  • It's a good analogy and absolutely true. You think the media wanted to report that mitt kicked barrys ass in the debate? They did not.

  • so the question is WHY?? !! (rhetorical)

    money? illuminati? what?

  • Incredibly relevant

For those who don't want to watch the video, here's what was said.

You can make a lot of money by being an assassin," he said. "It doesn't matter: right wing or left wing. You go in and you're a hater -- radio, cable, in print, whatever -- you can get paid. And there's a people who do that. And they go in, they don't even believe half the stuff they say. ... Capitalism drives that. There are people -- Americans -- who want to hear hate.

  • And I agree with that whole heartedly.

But I don't know if the actual rank and file journalists fall under that heading.

    I'm sure some do, but...

  • reminds me of Skip Bayless, an asshole of the fifth degree, but is obviously found his niche spewing what he does.. and gets paid alot Im sure.

Cant tell how rank and file types are motivated except maybe with just having a job? Didnt you and heck cross that issue regarding editorial boards making the decisions

on what they publish anyways? So its go along or get lost?

  • Watched that debate last night, it was pretty entertaining.

I definitely like Bill more now, he's a funny guy.
