Here is trivia mostly on this week's opponent:

    1. What is the regular season head to head record between the Browns and the Giants? (margin of error)

    2. What is the Browns/Giants post season head to head record?

    3. Name three players who made the Pro Bowl as a member of both the Browns and Giants.

    4. What is the Giants accurate corporate name?

    5. How many combined post season appearances did the Giants and the Jets make during the decade of the 1970s?

    6. How much did Tim Mara intially invest into creating the New York Giants? (margin of error)

    7. After the Giants win in the 1986 season's Super Bowl, what did the city of New York do to celebrate that team's first title in 30 years?

    8. What Giants WR that led them in receptions in 5 seasons later played for the Browns?

    9. What RB that was drafted by the Browns later led the Giants in rushing three times?

    10. Which Browns QB left the Browns to play for the NYGs?

    Bonus: Non-Giants related:

    Todd Philcox

    Mark Rypien

wow.... 1950 to '66 we were in same conference (Eastern) so that's 17 games. We dominated early and late... the Giants dominated middle...

    say... 8-8-1

Then came the pre-merger expanded Divisional set up where the Giants pin-balled back and forth... and we were good...

    say... 2-0

Then we jumped to AFC and play 1 in 3/4 years... 10 or 11 times (minus our absense 8 or 9)...

    say... 4-5

    Grand total: 14 - 13 - 1

    2. What is the Browns/Giants post season head to head record?

    1-1... both in the 50's I believe...

    3. Name three players who made the Pro Bowl as a member of both the Browns and Giants.

Erich Barnes - Dick Modzelewski - ???? Homer Jones??? (doubt Homer is correct)

    4. What is the Giants accurate corporate name?

The New York Foorball Giants... owing to the one-time existance of the New York Baseball Giants prior to their move to SF,

    5. How many combined post season appearances did the Giants and the Jets make during the decade of the 1970s?

    I smell a trick question.... 0

    6. How much did Tim Mara intially invest into creating the New York Giants? (margin of error)

    $25,000

    7. After the Giants win in the 1986 season's Super Bowl, what did the city of New York do to celebrate that team's first title in 30 years?

    Ticker Tape parade

    8. What Giants WR that led them in receptions in 5 seasons later played for the Browns?

That definitely would be Homer Jones.

    9. What RB that was drafted by the Browns later led the Giants in rushing three times?

    Ron Johnson

    10. Which Browns QB left the Browns to play for the NYGs?

ummmm... Milt Plum finished up his career with NYG, but there were teams between us and them.

I think Gary Lane went to NYG in the mid-60's...

    Bonus: Non-Giants related:

Which of the following has thrown for the most yards in his Browns career:

    Jake Delhomme

    Ty Detmer

    Ken Dorsey

    Todd Philcox

    Mark Rypien

    Don Strock

    Brandon Weeden

    Eric Zeier

Tourma got #s 2,5,8,9 correct, plus for #3 Erich Barnes (but no Mo).

And you may not want to put away your trick question sniffer...as, I will admit, there is at least one more trick question.

            Answers:

            1. What is the regular season head to head record between the Browns and the Giants? (margin of error)

Browns lead 26-19-2. They were in the same division together for many years.

            2. What is the Browns/Giants post season head to head record?

It is 1-1. The Browns won a play in game in 1950 before they beat the Rams for the title, and the Giants won a play in game in 1958 before they lost to the Colts for the title.

            3. Name three players who made the Pro Bowl as a member of both the Browns and Giants.

Jack Gregory, Erich Barnes, and Pepper Johnson

            4. What is the Giants accurate corporate name?

The New York Football Giants, Inc.

            5. How many combined post season appearances did the Giants and the Jets make during the decade of the 1970s?

It was a trick question...sorta.. The answer was -0-. Neither NY team made a playoff game for an entire decade.(Could you imagine the whining, moaning, crying from the likes of ESPN if that happenned today?)

            6. How much did Tim Mara intially invest into creating the New York Giants? (margin of error)

It was $500.00 in 1925. Oi!

            7. After the Giants win in the 1986 season's Super Bowl, what did the city of New York do to celebrate that team's first title in 30 years?

Not a thing. Mayor Ed Koch refused to allow any official, formal celebration in NYC because he said that the Giants were "foreigners", not a NYC team. I think they had some kind of gathering in the parking lot of The Meadowlands.

            8. What Giants WR that led them in receptions in 5 seasons later played for the Browns?

            Homer Jones.

            9. What RB that was drafted by the Browns later led the Giants in rushing three times?

            Ron Johnson

            10. Which Browns QB left the Browns to play for the NYGs?

Another trick question. Notice I said the NYGs...NOT the NY Giants.

Brian Sipe left the Browns to go play with the New York Generals (NYGs) of the USFL. 😁

            Bonus: Non-Giants related:

Which of the following has thrown for the most yards in his Browns career:

            Jake Delhomme...872

            Ty Detmer...548

            Ken Dorsey...370

            Todd Philcox...965

            Mark Rypien...694

            Don Strock...736

            Brandon Weeden...997

            Eric Zeier...864

Brandon Weeden has already, after 4 games, thrown for more yardage in his Browns career than all those other guys!!!

OK, right. I was just going from memory. I knew he made the PB for only 1 of those teams.
