Romney/ryan Tax Plan
-
Does the math work? Not even close, says the JCT:
"Repealing all itemized deductions in the U.S. tax code would pay for only a 4 percent cut in income tax rates, according to an estimate from the nonpartisan scorekeeper for Congress that casts doubt on Republicans’ ability to finance lower income-tax rates with base broadening.
The analysis by the Joint Committee on Taxation shows the arithmetical difficulty of an approach that assumes long-favored tax breaks such as deductions for mortgage interest and charitable contributions could be repealed instantly and completely. Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney proposes a 20 percent income-tax cut and says he would pay for it by limiting tax deductions, credits and exemptions."
Fresh ammo for Obama for Tuesday.

Baloney. For an intelligent, non-political analysis, go here:
(since heckbunker is a sold out leftie)

It is impossible to calculate without certain assumptions.
Romney knows business.
Meanwhile, heckbunker still clings to "hope and change"
which has not worked in any area of domestic or foreign concerns we Americans have.
It's time to get off the dishonest leftwing train, heckbunker.
It's headed for a derailing.

The Tax Policy Center looked at Mitt's new idea to cap deductions, the one he mentioned in the debate. Can he make the math work that way?
"No. Not even close. While it’s difficult to estimate because Romney has provided so few details, even the most generous version of Romney’s deduction cap would raise about only $1.3 trillion — about a quarter of the full cost — according to their new study, which was released yesterday afternoon. And that doesn’t include the additional roughly $2.5 trillion it would cost to extend all the Bush tax cuts, as Romney plans to. So he’s over $6 trillion short for the decade, and starting with a big deficit."
Aren't you guys supposed to be concerned about the deficit?

I assume you're talking about the promises made four years ago....

problem #1 for anything taxes is the tax code itself. The 15,000 page tax code is the legacy of both political parties. It is basically corrupt. and needs reform.
BUT UNTIL THEN,
problem #2 for anything taxes is simply - GET MORE PEOPLE WORKING !!! on that basis alone, Obama FAILS
anything else as offered by politicians is folly and total bullshiat!
