Josh Freaking Gordon

Well let's not go crowning him the next Randy Moss now.
He's been a pleasant surprise but eventually he's going to have to develop into more than a big play guy.
Now of course if he keeps making big plays that's fine with me but you got to think sooner or later defenses are going to wise up.
So far so good but sorry I'm not completely sold yet.

I say we should give some credit to BW3 as well. His throws to Gordon have been perterier than a ten dollar whore, especially the long balls.
Weeden to Gordon for a TOUCHDOWN! i could get use to that...

Well that would be if Richardson is performing like a Top 5 guy and that's questionable... Mostly due to the coaches abandoning the run. I want Richardson to get 21 carries each game, no matter what, and at least 2 designed receptions. You do not draft a running back with the 3rd pick and then give him 18.13 touches a game.

18.13 compared to 23... really... I dont like Schurmer and the play calling as much as the next guy, but with a season that isnt going anywhere there is no need to give him an excessive amount of touches. 23 a game would give him 368 touches on the year, that's more (albeit by 1) touches than Ray Rice got last year. 21 carries also would give him 336 rushes. Thats a lot of touches for a rookie. Dont want to burn him out. I would say 18ish is about on par with what I would want him to get as a rookie playing on a team going no where this year. This isnt Madden, players do wear out.

i think they would like to get him the ball more, just too busy trying to get chunks back because we've generally been trailing teams

The "this isn't Madden" argument has no merit in the discussion of whether 21 rushes and 2 receptions is too much. Maybe if I said something unrealistic like 30 rushes and 5 receptions, then it would. Anyway, Adrian Peterson averages 22.57 touches per game and Arian Foster averages 25.71. LaDainian Tomlinson, who was a similar build to T-Rich, averaged 24.89 touches his rookie season. So making a point to get Trent the ball 23 times is not out of the question, and those extra touches could help sustain drives (potentially in the second half where Trent only sees 28% of his carries) and possibly score a few big plays.
It does make sense that now with the Browns 1-6, there really is no point to overwork him, but I would've liked to see a 4 or 5 more in both the Buffalo and Baltimore game. Those were games that the Browns could have used a bit more balance since Weeden threw a combined 95 times with only a 54.7% success rate, with 1 TD and 3 INT.

We now know he is a deep threat, he needs to become a better go-to guy now.
I want Gordon to be the guy who is gonna catch 8-10 passes, be able to move the sticks, along with being that TD threat.
All we know is that Gordon can outrun a lot of people, we need to see what he can do to help us put together 5-6 minute scoring drives. Richardson needs to help as well.

Gordon is developing quite nicely thank you. He's going to be our #1 wr if he isn't already.
With Gordon, Little and Cooper in the slot, that makes for a nice trio. Cameron at TE and TRich as a single back with Weeds the tiggerman and this offense could be explosive next year. Could be this year except for the numbskull calling plays.
All we really need on offense is a couple of NFL quality guards, and to lose Marecic. Lauvao and Pinkston are backups and Marecic needs to get lost. But I degress.
Gordon looks like a keeper, But Glassaquoi is quickly becoming Mr irrelevant.

Gordon has officially become a fucking beast.

Instead of only playing Hardesty when Trent is banged up, he should keep Trent fresh by letting Hardesty get some carries.
Obviously Trent will get the workload, and I'm all for that. But if you really want to be safe with T-Rich, why not when he finally gets healthy you take steps to keep him healthy? Especially this year where we're about 4 games from being mathematically out of the playoffs.
