Shurmur needs to acknowledge that this team played a terrible game today.

I guess San Diego even played more terrible.

Sure, but a win doesn't erase mistakes. Especially win our W-L record is irrelevant this season, I don't know why any of you guys think about the playoffs when its nowhere near reality.

If this team is happy with the way they played today, they will never be winners.

Some people would rather focus on the negatives all the time and bitch and moan even when we win. Was it pretty...nope, not at all. But a win is a win against a team that came in here after a bye week and we still won the game.

Maybe we can go beat Baltimore next weekend now too...

A couple of weeks ago people were asking for a win, any win. Now we have 2 in 3 weeks and suddenly the way we win isn't good enough.

Trent was brought in to win ugly games in ugly conditions and this was the first of hopefully many. You hear the Steelers fans complaining when they win ugly, or more often luckily?

For a team of rookies, learning to grind out a win when they arent in full flow is as important as a 300 yard passing game or 100 yard rush. We'll have better days, but a win is and always will be, a win.

    A few simple comments.........

    1) As always I believe Richardson is a great acquisition

    2) The Browns are a few additions away from being a very competitive team.

    3) Little will be a lot better on we get a #1 WR to take pressure off him.

    4) Shurmur is too conservative, he needs to cut these guys loose

The Browns won, and will beat teh ratbirds. We will probably be favored by 12.5 or more.

    man you make me laugh.

yes tr was a great addition as any of the top 5 RBs in the same draft would have been.

a few additions? let's try a whole LB corp another CB and a FS that can man cover. (what is that like 5 players?...and that's only defensively).

we already have our number one receiver and his name is josh gordon.

us being favored by 12.5 points against the ravens is ludicris and you know it. just preface it by saying "me an zombo are such homers that we don't live in reality and this week in the afc north we dream of pink unicorns and little green dragons."

we're lucky to get one more win this year and like i said in another post it will be against the redskins ....other than that start looking at college football weekly so you can start dreaming of your new top 3 pick next year. (do they have a centerfold in that rag?)

A win is a win both teams had many miscues and the browns ended up on top..

Pat shurmur is way to conservative all the time, there is a time in every game to be both ultra aggressive and ultra conservative but shurmur is always over conservative, he has 2 pinto beans for a set of balls..

    I agree.

I just got back from the game about 1 hour ago. Yesterday may have been the worst weather conditions I have ever experienced at the stadium, and I have been to plenty of bad weather games. It was just warm enough you didn't get snow, so you got soaked with little slush balls falling from the sky. The wind was blowing a consistent 25-30 MPH and gusting higher. From a fan point of view, nobody in the stadium had all they needed for the conditions. If you had the shoes, you didn't have the gloves. If you had those you didn't have the right hat.

As for the game....a win is a win.

  • How often Weeden gets his passes tipped just doesn't make sense.

Rich Gannon called out Schwartz on one replay in particular for giving the DE a cushion and not engaging him which led to getting up and batting a ball. Overall, I am happy with Schwartz's development. Just a rookie mistake.

Early on, I was really starting to have my doubts about this kid (Schwartz), but he is really coming along.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him make the Pro Bowl one day (probably just cursed it) 😛

My youngest Daughter & Son in law are season ticket holders & said the conditions were the worst they've seen.

One thing I have been sort of waiting to see was how Weeden, Richardson, & some other young players from the South would handle inclement Ohio conditions. So far, they did alright.

I agree that a win is a win & that's good for the player's confidence if nothing else.

For all the Skrine critics, that kid made one HELL of an athletic move to tip the 4th down pass. I have said all along that the kid reminds me of Frank Minnifield...too aggressive at times, but never takes a play off & runs tight coverage. He'll be fine.

Let's add in an OG on the other side of the ball.

And as to one more win- I think you're either being way too pessimistic, or haven't looked at the schedule. What? We can't beat the Chiefs? In Cleveland? I'll take the Browns over the Raiders too. The Scow-boys have looked very beatable lately. And at least one or two upsets against the Ratbirds or Squealers.
