  • Here is the Browns remaining schedule:

    Nov 18 @Dallas 1:00 pm

    Nov 25 Pittsburgh 1:00 pm

    Dec 2 @Oakland 4:25 pm

Dec 9 Kansas City 1:00 pm

    Dec 16 Washington 1:00 pm

    Dec 23 @Denver 4:05 pm

    Dec 30 @Pittsburgh 1:00 pm

I see at least 3-4 wins here. They will beat Pittsburgh in one of their games. If they don't beat KC they should just blow up the stadium. And they will beat either Dallas or Washington..or both. They likely will not beat Peyton Manning and Denver (although even bad Browns teams did surprisingly well against Manning in the past)

Of course, the X factor is Pat Shurmur. Probably the two other coaches in this league whose butts are on the line the most are Jason Garrett and Romeo Crennel.

These games may be a round robin to decide who is the worst coach in the league....Crennel, Garrett, or Shurmur. PS is fully capable of outsucking even those two.

  • I think one consolation we can take from the previous games is the fact that the Browns have been in every game into the late 4th quarter with the exception possibly of the Giants game where they got beat 41-27.

They say the Browns need to 'learn how to win'. I agree, but the fact is, I think these players CAN learn to win, if they had someone decent teaching them how to do so. I don't think we have that, at all.

  • Chiefs and Raiders should be wins, but we all know how those turnout.

Maybe they can get the Steelers once but thats going out on a very weak limb.

MAYBE Dallas but theyre easily a better team than Cleveland

Are they? They are more veteran, but are they better? Do a breakdown:

QB...Romo vs. Weeden Has talent. Gets a lot of attention. Again, more veteran, not necessarily better. But I will give edge to Cowboys...for now.

RB...TR vs. ?? Edge to Browns.

WRs...Dez Bryant and Mile Austin over our group. Slight edge to the underachieving Cowboy corps

OLine...I can't give specific names to the Cowboys OL,....but I still give edge to Browns.

    DLine. Edge Browns

    LBs...Edge Cowboys

    DBs...Even?

    Special Teams...?? I don't know

Coaching....as bad as Garrett has been, I don't give Shurmur the edge over anyone except maybe Crennel.

Overall I think it is pretty even...talentwise. Experience wise Cowboys have edge....for what that is worth.

  • I can't look at the schedule and honestly predict that we win any of them. Yeah, we've been close, yeah, we have some talent, but when will we ever just win a game convincingly? I blame it on coaching, 99%. With the play-calling that's going on, we could lose every one of those games. Put a gun to my head... I say we beat KC, Washington, and I would say Oakland but that would be 3 wins in a row, and I don't see it. Maybe we beat PIT once, but I doubt it b/c they will be motivated to win the division and we will be motivated to... suck less. 4-12, 5-11 if we're lucky. Looking forward to April again, like usual... And, hopefully being excited about another new regime in the FO and coaching staff... What did we all do in our previous life where we deserve this????

Take out the homer slant and there is not a single team you can say is inferior to the Browns. Even the Chiefs were recently moved to the basement of the power rankings recently vacated by the Browns.

Take out the anti-Browns bias....and all you have is a life worthy of suicide. That aside....I would revise my statement if I were you.......If you want to say the Browns coaching may be the worst in the NFL, I might tend to agree with you. If you want to say the Browns are the youngest team in the NFL, and thereby are suffering from that inexperience....I would agree with you. When you get bad coaching and youth, you don't get a quality performance.

But talent wise, the Browns have some of the best potential in the league. But it has to be drawn out in capable hands. No capable hands here, leastwise not with the HC.

No. I just don't view the world from the perspective of ignorance the way you do.

You make it sound like I think the Browns are still going to win the Super Bowl. Far from it. I said they are capable of winning a few more games....and they probably are. I said they are young...and they are. I said they have a bad HC....and they do.

Where is the fantasy? I do have fantasies....but they manifest themselves more in this fashion (see above):

  • Formerly Sane said:

Where is the fantasy? Look at your original post.

My original post said the Browns could win 3-4 more games. They could. It says they could beat the Steelers. They could. Worse teams than this Browns teams have beaten better Steeler teams than this Steeler team.

They have the talent to be able to win any game on that schedule, but the coaching and inexperience to lose every game on that schedule.

I totally agree about the teaching. We have (I think) 4 former head coaches on the staff. We need hungry assistants not old retread coaches. Not to mention a headcooach with some fire.

    That's (1) WIN

  • As of now I think it's clear that coaching is our Achilles' Heel.

That being said, I believe our only winnable games are those that Pat could possible not get out coached.

I think making the west coast trip to Oakland could be tough so I don't expect them to win against the Raiders, but I think we've got a shot against KC and Dallas.

The other games I have little hope we'll win because we can all bet on Shurmur screwing it up.

Yea, Like I said, I see the team capable of putting up 3-4 more wins. I see Shurmur capable of screwing up every game.

I mean, isn't that was I said in my original post on this thread? Yup.

  • aha, So you did - sorry bout that.

I hope you're right about Pittspuke, but as of now it seems highly unlikely.

Hahaha you must read those "power rankings" like they are the 10 commandments. It's hard to take anyone seriously that mentions "homer" and then tries to back it up with useless opinions of ESPN asshats. What a clown.

  • Nov 18 @Dallas 1:00 pm- Browns pull off the upset (3-7) A week to recover and regroup brings the Browns a much needed win.

Nov 25 Pittsburgh 1:00 pm- The Browns after a strong showing vs the Cowboys finally chase the Steelers back to Pit beaten and humiliated... thus starts pittsburghs downward spiral... (4-7)

Dec 2 @Oakland 4:25 pm- Cleveland strings three decisive victories together and is looking like a complete unit out there... (5-7)

Dec 9 Kansas City 1:00 pm- Playoff push? Cleveland senses the urgency and the implications of playing like a team on fire... they route KC and come within a single game of catching .500 (6-7)

Dec 16 Washington 1:00 pm- Trent one-ups RG3 today and scores three rushing TD's to RG3's two. Browns reach .500 as they roll off on a five game winning streak.

Dec 23 @Denver 4:05 pm- The Browns enter Colorado at an even 7-7 and fittingly that's the score after four quarters, the Browns drive in overtime and TR punches it in for six for the win. Browns 8-7!

Dec 30 @Pittsburgh 1:00 pm- A win here would lock down a playoff berth by knocking Pittsburgh out... The winner goes on and the losers go home... Good news for Steelers fans, home is right down the street! The Brown beat Pittsburgh at home and achieve the impossible by running the table after the bye and making the playoffs after an 0-5 start! The Browns win, The Browns Win!!! 😎

Anyways, that's how I see it going down after the bye. Should be awesome. Get ready guys cause it's bout to go down!

  • Being totally realistic, I think we win at least 3 more games. We beat Oakland and Kansas City. There's an upset in there somewhere as well in the other games, just not sure where it is. I like our chances against Dallas, especially if they should lose to Philly tomorrow. I also think we could win one of the two against Pittsburgh. I don't like our chances at all against Denver, I can see Peyton carving up our defense.

yes, i can see 3 more wins as well, even though i predicted only 3 wins overall this season. the offensive weapons heckert has added has garnered those wins and changed my mind in considering the second half.

i'm thinkin if WE are lucky : RAIDERS , CHIEFS AND BRONCOS.

straight up, no ass spread needed.
