Log cabin republicans cal...what's your take? Love them because they're republicans or hate them cause they're gay?
-
Neither, to be serious.
I look at what they believe in...if you can figure it out, Their principles/values.
apart from what they SAY they believe in....
Professionally, I always treated somebody I knew was gay, just like anybody else.
But, let them demand to be invited to away from work parties?
being gay has nothin to do with nothin - but gays lobbying for being
"normal" and "married" etc,, in schools and anywhere else... is like slapping other people in the face
to get their attention. Probly more like gun owners going around carrying their guns openly
and demanding that gun safety and hunting be taught in schools, that gun owners and hunters
be represented in the leadership of PETA, that cooking wild game should be taught in all home ec classes,
and that gun safety and hunting and self defense should be electives in college,
and that even grade schoolers should be allowed to learn about handling guns......
But the gay lobby doesn't see that. Too stupid and too arrogant and too...eh.... er...gay.

Sad way to end a storied career.
Obama should give him the Medal of Freedom.

Sure- he was free to screw whoever he wanted to.
Funny how this came out right after the election. Coincidence? I think not.
Speaking of getting screwed- just wait until the Grey Panthers figure out Barack just screwed them out of about $450 billion in Medicare benefits to pay for NOBamacare. It's going to get interesting.

yes, how dare a gay ask to be treated like a normal person...

I wonder if it's anything more complicated than a reporter having the story and calling him to confirm, which forced him to resign.
I don't see why he shouldn't testify, though.

Testify?
What in particular are you suspicious about, senator?

That was just another stupidass retort by you, Little Johnny Stupidass Flea Woodypeckerhead.
I said I treated them just like anybody else - professionally.
But their chosen lifestyles make them ineligible to be associated with otherwise, my principle.
Socially, there are all sorts of reasons certain people are not invited to parties, not hunted with,
not socialized with.
Do you have a learning disability? If I knew you did, I wouldn't give you crap - I'd just ignore you.
But, in the meantime, woodypeckerhead, wouild you be fine with hunting and gun toting gun owners
demanding to be allowed to walk around everywhere they go with their guns? It's quite normal,
in the old west - or do you know how to watch tv?
I made it clear - could you just once make a relevant point about any post in this forum?

And the rats are jumping Obama's ship. Hillary Clinton, the Press Secretary, possibly the Sec. of Defense. No one wants to be there when the shit starts to fly.
-
Well, that's, um, interesting.

Question really is what was the CIA really doing in Benghazi, I've heard looking for shoulder fired anti-aircraft (Stinger type) missiles. What did the white house withhold from the American people about the brutal killing of our Ambassador? What was REALLY going on there? Why weren't reinforcements sent when they were asked for? Why, why, why?
-
This story is really, really strange.
-
A general and CIA director has an affair, tells the truth and looses his job. A sitting president has an affair, lies about it under oath to congress, keeps his job and is elevated to near-sainthood by the current president.
Something is wrong.
(Referring to Bill Clinton for those who are shaking their heads).
-
I do wonder if the news media at large will follow their natural instinct to pursue a story or their other natural instinct to defend the administration.
Since the election is over for the time being what do you think?

Steve, you've really got to get a clue.
First of all, your belief that the mainstream media is all in the tank for Obama and works like a coordinated Obama campaign team is just ridiculous. You'll believe it, but that's just because you're ridiculous.
Second of all, this Petraeus story is not going to lead back to Bengazi the way you dream it will. You and the right-wing media will spend weeks trying to tie it together, but it won't work. The guy got caught having an affair. It pre-dated the Bengazi incident. The story seems fishy because of how he got caught.
Third of all, the media is going to track down this story hard because it involves their favorite subject. Sex stories are easy to sell and easy to report and the public likes reading them. Figuring out what's going on in Afghanistan is hard and expensive. That's why this story, or Larry Craig's wide stance, or Anthony Weiner's penis, gets so much attention.
Fourth of all, after the world has just found out just how much the right-wing media has been misleading their viewers for the last few weeks, and how off they've been, and that it turns out the "mainstream media" had the story right, it'd probably be too much for the right to make the story about whether or not their insane "liberal media" conspiracies are killing them, and their reliance on right-wing media outlets are killing them off too.
Let me know when you want to come out of the cocoon. You may not be a Fox News watcher, but as we've seen time and time again, you're not someone who knows where to go to get good information. You just have too much fun assuming the left and the media are all in cahoots, working for the president.
Get some self-awareness, dude. You are what you pretend to hate.

Why did the FBI look into these harassing emails? The recipient had a friend at the FBI, and that started the investigation.
Why? What was in them?
We don't know. Maybe there's a good reason for the FBI to spend months tracking down who sent them, and then finding out, and then reading all of her emails, and then reading all of Petraeus' emails to her.
Maybe there isn't.
Oh, and if you want good reporting on this story, you might want to try a real newspaper, you know, the kind with actual reporters.
Here's another.

Federal investigators have said Broadwell sent a series of e-mails to Kelley from an anonymous account telling her to stop behavior she saw as overly friendly toward Petraeus, or she would be exposed. The law enforcement officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the e-mails indicate Broadwell felt jealous of the other woman.
The e-mails did not specifically cite Kelley’s friendship with Petraeus, according to a person close to Kelley, who also spoke on condition of anonymity. She did not know who was sending them and why.
Kelley contacted her friend in the FBI, who took her concerns to the bureau. Investigators were later able to trace the e-mails to Broadwell.
In Broadwell’s account, investigators found e-mails from Petraeus, and given the personal nature of some of them, believed at first that they were being sent by someone who had hacked into the CIA director’s account.
Kelley was informed that Broadwell was the sender, although she told investigators that she did not know the woman, according to the person close to Kelley.
At some point, Kelley told Petraeus about the e-mails and named Broadwell as the person who had sent them. That may have prompted the CIA director to send his own e-mails to Broadwell, telling her to stop the harassment, the law enforcement officials said.
People close to Petraeus say his affair with Broadwell ended four months ago, around the time he e-mailed her about the harassment.
When confronted by FBI agents about the e-mails, Broadwell acknowledged the affair with Petraeus and turned over her computer to investigators. Petraeus, who has been married to Holly Petraeus for 38 years, also acknowledged the extramarital relationship in his interview with the FBI.
By late summer, the FBI informed the Justice Department about the case. Federal prosecutors decided there was not enough evidence to field charges against Petraeus, who was interviewed by investigators during the week of Oct. 21. Broadwell was interviewed by agents for the last time the week before.
The FBI agent in Tampa had been taken off the investigation by that time. He was frustrated by the investigation’s apparent lack of progress, according to the person close to Kelley.
But the agent recently got in touch with the Washington office of Rep. Dave Reichert (R-Wash.) to express concern. Reichert then contacted Rep. Eric Cantor (Va.), the House Republican leader.
“I was contacted by an F.B.I. employee concerned that sensitive, classified information may have been compromised and made certain Director Mueller was aware of these serious allegations and the potential risk to our national security,” Cantor said in a statement issued Saturday.

The FBI knew about this a week before the election.
Odd, right after the election, it was "declassified".

Broadwell went on to explain more sensitive details from the Benghazi attacks, particularly concerning what the real cause might have been.
"Now, I don't know if a lot of you heard this, but the CIA annex had actually, um, had taken a couple of Libyan militia members prisoner and they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try to get these prisoners back. So that's still being vetted."
A well-placed Washington source confirms to Fox News that there were Libyan militiamen being held at the CIA annex in Benghazi and that their presence was being looked at as a possible motive for the staged attack on the consulate and annex that night.
According to multiple intelligence sources who have served in Benghazi, there were more than just Libyan militia members who were held and interrogated by CIA contractors at the CIA annex in the days prior to the attack. Other prisoners from additional countries in Africa and the Middle East were brought to this location.
all that to ask yet another question in a long line of em....
The CIA, though, categorically denied these allegations, saying: "The CIA has not had detention authority since January 2009, when Executive Order 13491 was issued.
who does those?
