Wildcards Colts 7-4 and Steelers 6-5 (who own tiebreaker over Bengals who they beat earlier)
In the Hunt: Bengals 6-5, Miami 5-6
NFC
East NY Giants 7-4
North Bears 8-3
South Falcons 10-1 #1 seed
West 49ers 8-2-1
Wildcards: Packers 7-4 and either Vikings or Seahawks both 6-5 and both with 4-4 conf records (hold edge over Bucs who are also 6-5 but have a 3-5 conf. record)
In the Hunt: Bucs 6-5 plus Saints, Cowboys and Redskins all 5-6.

AFC WC berths were there for the taking
With our young defense starting to play big time football, you have to wonder what could have been if we just would have won two of the games in which we were "Shurmured".
Pull out the Colts game and either the Eagles or Cowboys game, all of which were MORE than winnable and it looks like this:
Wildcards Colts 6-5 and Steelers 6-5 (who own tiebreaker over Bengals who they beat earlier)
In the Hunt: Bengals 6-5, Miami 5-6, Cleveland 5-6
We would be a game behind Colts (who we would have beaten), Steelers (who we beat) and Bungles (who we split with).
We would be one game from controlling our own destiny and it sure would be exciting.
Those three losses are stuck in my craw. We certainly could have held on to beat the Ravens the second time too.
